The recent disruption, which has now been rectified, seemed to affect only those customers attempting to log in via the desktop or mobile website.
NAB’s website displayed a message indicating, “Internet banking isn’t working at the moment,” alerting users to the issue.
The message continued, “We’re sorry and are doing everything we can to get it back up and running.”
In the meantime, customers were advised, “You can still use the NAB app or Telephone Banking.”
Reports of the outage surged on the website Down Detector, with thousands of issues logged since 11 a.m. today.
NAB’s banking app was still working.
“NAB Internet banking is back online and customers can login as normal,” a NAB spokesperson said.
“All other services, including the NAB mobile app, telephone banking, ATMs and other services have remained available to customers as normal.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience this caused our customers.”
