Elon Musk’s punishing work schedule revealed

Tesla founder Elon Musk has revealed his back-breaking work schedule and severe pain issues in a series of declarations.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Musk said in a conference with investor Ron Baron his workload had soared to 120 hours a week since taking over Twitter last year.

“I go to sleep, I wake up, I work, go to sleep, wake up, work — do that seven days a week,” Musk said.

“I’ll have to do that for a while, no choice, but I think once Twitter is set on the right path I think it is a much easier thing to manage than SpaceX or Tesla.”

Musk has said previously he normally sleeps for about six hours a night from about 3am.

The Wall Street Journal reported the billionaire was currently sleeping at the Twitter offices and that he had provided mattresses for employees.

“Last 3 months were extremely tough…. Wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone,” Musk tweeted in response to the Journal’s article.

Last month, a fan on social media chronicled Musk’s day — testimony in court at a lawsuit in the morning, a Tesla event in Nevada later, a meeting with Tesla’s artificial intelligence division later that night, and then a jaunt into Twitter’s offices.

The punishing schedule is coupled with ongoing issues of neck and back pain that can leave the entrepreneur struggling to sleep.

Musk attributes his pain to a birthday party years ago, when he injured his back in a bout with a sumo wrestler.

In 2020, he confirmed he had undergone two surgeries to remedy his neck pain.
