A former SA Police contractor has been arrested after he allegedly livestreamed sexually explicit material of children in the Philippines.
The 68-year-old was arrested and faced court today charged with one count of possessing child abuse material.
Police allege Poole used social media to engage children in the live streaming of sexually explicit activity in the Philippines.
On his LinkedIn profile, Poole lists SA Health and SA Police among his most recent employers.
In a statement police said he was a “short-term external contractor with South Australia Police and has since had his employment terminated after notification from the AFP.
Detectives have seized a phone, two laptops and two hard-drives which are undergoing further analysis.
Poole did not apply for bail in Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
He will remain in custody at this stage until at least December.
