An extra 100 Defence personnel are on the ground in NSW today helping with the flood response.

“In Eugowra and Forbes, there is a continued focus at the moment on the response, on rescues, on keeping people safe,” Perrottet said.

“Clean-up and recovery is now in the early stages in Molong, in Canowindra, and the ADF are providing assistance there.”

Perrottet warned more heavy rain was coming this weekend – and it wouldn’t take much to spark more flash floods.

“We will deploy every resource possible to ensure we keep you safe and get you back on your feet as quickly as possible,” he said.
