Gwyneth Paltrow pictured in LA on 31 October - unveiled her annual list of must-have presents on her lifestyle website Goop

A round up of wildly quirky and hugely expensive Christmas presents recommended by Gwyneth Paltrow has become a holiday staple, and the lifestyle guru does not disappoint for 2022.

The A-List actress, 50, unveiled her annual list of must-have presents – which have been divided into 10 categories – on her lifestyle website today.

Along with a ‘lovers guide guide’, wellness edit and selection presents for foodies, the mother-of-two selected 40 items to appear in her more daring ‘ridiculous but awesome’ category.

In total, the luxury list contains presents worth almost $900,000 – with the higher ticket items including a $286,000 New Zealand getaway, a $250,000 vintage Ford Bronco and a $135,000-a-night private jet Safari experience in South Africa.

That said, not every gift on Gwyneth’s edit is quite so eye-wateringly expensive – as the Iron Man star also included a roll of neon toilet paper and $50 hair colour kit for dogs, which has been approved by canine dermatologists.

Introducing their Christmas gift guide list this year, the Goop team acknowledged that this particular category has been ‘blurring the line between ridiculous and awesome since 2015’.

Covering all her bases, Gwyneth included some luxury jewellery and handbags for her readers to browse through.

Kicking things off with a an $8,000 necklace designed by Goop’s in-house team, the actress gushed: ‘Every other link is encrusted with brilliant pavé white diamonds (there are 2.70 carats total).’

And that isn’t the only Goop-designed item included in the actress’ selection of presents – as she then went on to recommend the brand’s $895 ‘edgy and impactful’ ear cuff which is ‘punctuated with 14 glimmering black diamonds’.

If that wasn’t enough for her canine pals, the dog lover chucked in an upcycled wooden bed frame by the brand Avocado and Hermes leather toy box for Goop reader’s pampered pooches.

But the gift that’s bound to raise the most eyebrows this Christmas is Kiki De Montparnase’s black leather tufted chair – which Gwyneth jokes can go in either the ‘living room or a sex dungeon’.

The $28,500 seat – which comes with a matching footstool – is also ‘decked out with stirrups and restraints’.
