King Charles has revealed a redesign for the royal family’s official social media page, ditching a format which was first launched when the late Queen was alive.

Royal messages shared by the monarch, 74, on Instagram were shared on a dark blue background, with the text in white and a small white cipher in the corner.

However a message to all those affected by the flooding in New Zealand which was posted yesterday was on a new format.

The text was shared on a white background with a blue border, while the message itself was typed in dark blue.

The royal family have been continuing to update their website and social media over the last few months since the late Queen’s death in September.

King Charles has shared a total of nine messages on the former format, which is around two per month.

Yesterday he shared a message in the new format for those impacted by flooding in New Zealand, before going on to share a second message for the president of Pakistan.

After royal fan account Gert’s Royals pointed out the change, many other fans were quick to react.

One commented: ‘I like it. It’s similar enough, but different. Sets him apart from his mother and starts a new tradition.’

Another added: ‘I like it!! Looks better, cleaner, mire regal and formal.’

A third wrote: ‘I prefer the white background and the more legible font. Much more regal.’

‘I like it!’ One person added. ‘Professional and clean, similar to the one QEII used, but different and unique to KCIII so he has his own now.’

King Charles adopted the official Royal Family’s social media account after his mother the Queen died in September.

His former social media accounts, @ClarenceHouse, have since laid dormant.

The latest update comes as royal experts said the King finds himself in an ‘impossible situation’ with regards to the Coronation, as he is caught between his two sons in a vicious family row.

Mail on Sunday’s Editor at Large Charlotte Griffiths said she understands why he might turn to a figure like the Archbishop of Canterbury for help.

‘It’s an impossible situation, you can see why they do want a third party,’ she tells the programme.

‘You get the impression that he’s probably tried over several years to sort this out but I think he’s probably had the good grace to say “actually, look I can’t do this, so I’m going to have to get somebody else to help…”

‘There’s also the added complication of Charles worrying about William, because it sounds like William doesn’t particularly want Harry there, so he’s got to keep both sides happy which is an impossible thing to do.’

The Daily Mail’s Royal Editor Rebecca English believes that repairing the relationship may be beyond the abilities of the leader of the church.

‘I think it’s going to take more than a man of God, I have to say, I really do, even one as anointed as he is,’ she tells the show.

‘I also think it’s a family matter, because at the end of the day, Harry’s going to have no official role, as we understand, in the coronation, so he’s going to be there as a guest of his father.’
