Elliot Daly has made his way back into England’s lineup, hinting at a potential return to the field for his first game this season after recovering from a broken arm. The anticipated match is set against New Zealand this Saturday.

Daly sustained his injury during the Lions’ summer tour in Australia, causing him to miss out on the victorious Test series against the Wallabies.

So far, Daly has been absent from the 2025/26 season with his club, Saracens. However, he remains a strong contender to make a comeback in England’s high-stakes autumn clash with the All Blacks.

He hasn’t played at all in the 2025/26 campaign to date for his club Saracens.

But he is still under consideration to come straight back in from the cold and start England’s acid autumn test with the All Blacks.

Daly will add to head coach Steve Borthwick’s full-back resources with the national side now on a nine-match winning streak after victories over Australia and Fiji this month.

Marcus Smith wore the No 15 shirt against Fiji with Freddie Steward injured.

But Steward is back fit for New Zealand.

Wings Tom Roebuck – who also missed Fiji – and Immanuel Feyi-Waboso are both in the squad to face the southern hemisphere giants too.

Feyi-Waboso was left battered and bruised by the 38-18 victory over the Fijians.

‘Hopefully, Elliot will be available for selection this week. He’s got a meeting with a specialist over the weekend,’ Borthwick said.
