Tragic Gold Coast Accident: Toddler Killed, Another Hospitalized After Severe Car Crash

A tragic incident on the northern Gold Coast has resulted in the death of a three-year-old child, with a one-year-old rushed to the hospital after a car accident.

Authorities responded to Burnside Road following notifications of a crash shortly after 5 a.m. AEST.

Initial investigations reveal that a witness to the accident aided a 22-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy by transporting them to the Beenleigh Police Station.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. (Nine)

Tragically, the three-year-old boy became unresponsive and passed away in the station’s foyer.

Meanwhile, a 24-year-old man from Beenleigh, reportedly involved in the accident, left the crash site with a one-year-old boy prior to the police’s arrival.

The man and the child were located by police at an address in Beenleigh about 6.30am.

The one-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment.

The man is currently assisting police with enquiries.

A crime scene has been established, and there is no threat to the community.
