”The phrase ‘unknown baby’ written on the shrouds of thousands of Gazan children opens irreparable wounds in our consciences.”

Erdogan told Melania that Gaza has been turned into a “children’s cemetary” and pleaded ith her to unite with Turkey’s government against the “injustice”.

“These days, when the world is experiencing a collective awakening and the recognition of Palestine has become a global will. I believe that your call on behalf of Gaza would fulfil a historic responsibility toward the Palestinian people,” Erdogan’s letter continued.

The White House has not responded to Erdogan’s letter.
