Early this morning in northern Brisbane, a devastating house fire left four individuals with life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred on Darcy Way in Lawnton, where emergency services quickly responded to the scene just after 5:30 a.m. local time.
Upon arrival, firefighters were confronted with a fierce blaze that had already consumed the home, causing it to collapse and complicating initial efforts to control the fire. Despite these challenges, the firefighting team worked diligently to manage the situation.
Inside the devastated structure, four people were trapped. They were eventually rescued but sustained severe burns and other critical injuries. Their condition remains dire as they battle for survival.
A team of 18 paramedics was on hand to provide immediate medical assistance to the victims, underscoring the severity of the incident and the urgent need for expert care.

Firefighters were eventually able to gain control of the blaze, and they were forced to evacuate neighbouring houses as a precaution due to the severity of the inferno.
People were seen outside on the street in their pyjamas after being evacuated.
Authorities have closed off the road in both directions as they continue to contain the blaze and to begin their investigations.
