It’s set to be a big weekend for rugby league fans, with the NRL and NRLW grand finals set to take place on Sunday.
The NRL grand final will see teams from two states face off, with the Melbourne Storm and Brisbane Broncos battling it out for the win.
In the NRL women’s premiership, the Broncos will face off against the Sydney Roosters.

Here’s everything you need to know.

What time is the NRL grand final 2025?

Both games will be played on Sunday 5 October.
The women’s grand final will start at 4pm AEDT.

Later that evening at 7.30pm AEDT, the men’s grand final will kick off.

How to watch the NRL grand final

The NRL and NRLW grand finals will be broadcast live on Channel 9 and 9Now.

What time is the pre-game entertainment?

It’ll be a busy day on Sunday, with festivities kicking off in Sydney’s Stadium Australia at 1pm and extending long into the night.
Teddy Swims will headline the NRL grand final entertainment, which will start at 6.30pm, an hour before the men’s match starts.
Here’s the runsheet of the day, all in AEDT:

– 1:00pm — Gates open at Stadium Australia

– 1:20pm — State Championship kick-off

– 3:20pm — NRLW grand final pre-game show

– 4:00pm — NRLW premiership grand final kick-off

– 6:30pm — NRL grand final pre-game entertainment

– 7:30pm — NRL premiership grand final kick-off

Who’s in the NRL and NRLW grand finals?

The NRL men’s grand final will see the Brisbane Broncos and Melbourne Storm face off against each other.
It’ll be the first time the teams have been in a grand final together since 2006, when the Broncos won 15-8.

This season, each team won one game against each other, making it a pretty even playing field.

Storm came second in the minor premiership this year, while the Broncos finished fourth.
In the women’s competition, it’ll be the Sydney Roosters and the Brisbane Broncos fighting for the NRLW title.
They finished first and second respectively this season, with the Roosters unbeaten in their 11 matches.
The Broncos’ only loss this season was to the Roosters.
