Anyone who has been to Lollapalooza knows that at some point it will rain or the temperature will hit 100 degrees with no wind in sight. And at that point if you are caught in the middle of Grant Park, Chicago, on a dusty baseball field in a rainstorm, you already know you’ll be walking in light-brown mud practically up to your armpits. Meanwhile, if it doesn’t rain, then pre-heatstroke and dizziness tends to find those who party in a sweltering 100 degree, 95% humidity day under clear skies.

To that end, the VIP ticket and other premium experience selections that guarantee shaded cabanas, air conditioned hideaways and grab-and-go drinks, might well be the best – and most expensive – tickets around, given the usual expected weather. Those tickets are currently on sale on Lollapalooza’s website, though it is unclear how many sets of each type of tickets are available.

Here’s the breakdown if you are a Lolla high roller:

  • Four-day general admission tickets start at $375 for a package. Four-day general admission plus tickets start at $700. Four-day VIP sessions start at $1500 and four-day Platinum tickets start at $4350. Platinum packages include backstage tours, lockers and mobile chargers, plus hair and glitter stylists.
  • Two-day tickets start at $250 and one-day tickets start at $125. (VIP one-day tickets check in at $500. One-day platinum tickets start at $2,000)

In terms of the viewing experiences, private cabanas, special hotel experiences and a special “Lolla Insider” package with pricing as yet undisclosed on the site.

Lollapalooza is from August 3-6, 2023 in Chicago’s Grant Park. Headliners include Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are headlining Lollapalooza Chicago, ODESZA, Lana Del Rey, KAROL G, The 1975 and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.

Lollapalooza was created in 1991 by Jane’s diction frontman Perry Farrell, with a usual attendance – over a four-day period – of around 400,000. The event usually sells out each year. It features 200 entertainers playing on nine stages.
