Some of the media has a bad habit of trying to pin one celebrity against another… especially female celebrities. It is fun for them to make it appear as if women are in competition with one another, even if they’re not.
Sometimes, these feuds are real. Think Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall, Gwenyth Paltrow and Martha Stewart, or Lisa Vanderpump and the rest of the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.Occasionally, these relationships are irreparable.
Other times, friends argue, or even fight, but are able to make up and repair their relationships. This has happened with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, and Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.
But, more often than not, women tend to form close bonds with each other. They have friendships that last years, sometimes even lifetimes. This is true of “regular people” as well as celebrities. Friendship at all ages, is always nice to see.

Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz are lifetime besties. They met when they were teens, over 30 years ago.
“We met when I was 14 and she was 16. I was working at a coffee house and she was a junior model,” Barrymore told People. “She’s still my bestie and sistie — sistie?”
They starred in the mega-hit, Charlie’s Angels, but that was their only movie together. You can feel the love between them and see the fun they have together.
Drew said, “The thing that I love about our friendship is that we have been there in all the big and important moments, we’ve also been there in the small moments and the casual moments and the reason we are such good friends is because it’s real and we go through real stuff with each other. It’s not a Hollywood fairytale.”

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are two of the funniest ladies in Hollywood, and when they’re together, it’s double the laughs.
The two met in 1993 while making their way up in the comedy scene in Chicago. Fey joined Saturday Night Live first, with Poehler joining a few years later. Tina said in her memoir, Bossy Pants, “I remember thinking, ‘My friend is here! My friend is here!’ Even though things had been going great for me at the show, with Amy there, I felt less alone.”
The two were the first all-female anchor team on SNL‘s “Weekend Update”. They later co-hosted The Golden Globes four times, and starred in many movies together.
Above all, they are best friends who support each other no matter what.
Cara Delevingne and Rihanna met at a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Cara explained their first meeting, “I went up to her and was like, ‘Maaam, you are so amazing, I love you, you look so hot out there performing. You put us all to shame’…Then I slapped her on the bum.” This created their lasting friendship.
Since then, the two have made a movie together, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
The two are constant companions, with Delevingne accompanying her bestie on a leg of her tour in 2014, and have fun goofing around together.

The Jonas Brothers brought Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift together. “We actually dated the Jonas Brothers together! It was hysterical,” said Gomez in a 2017 interview with KIIS FM UK. She was dating Nick and Swift was dating Joe. She went on to say that her friendship with Swift was “the best thing we got out of those relationships.”
Since then, they have performed on stage together multiple times, and have supported each other through personal struggles, as well as in their careers.

When they finally met in real life, they hit it off instantly, and they created a beautiful friendship.
Stone said she thinks of Lawrence as family, “You realize that your friendships, the people who go with you into these next phases of your life— you’re choosing your family.” She also told her bestie, “You’ve been one of my most loyal friends for years. And I think knowing that you can laugh together and that not everything has to be such a big deal.”

And Maisie told This Morning, “It’s nice to have her going through this industry and someone who just completely gets it. It’s really lovely to have someone hold my hand through all of it.”
The two are said to have matching tattoos, which commemorate the date they both joined the cast of Game of Thrones.

Oprah spoke on The Drew Barrymore Show about how Gayle helped her while she was doing The Oprah Winfrey Show, “It makes me want to cry thinking about it … every night, after the show, I would come home and I would have these sessions … I would talk to Gayle before bed and then I would be calmer.”
She also said to Oprah Magazine, “Whatever this friendship is, it’s been a very fun ride—and we’ve taken it together.”
