Nickelodeon is an American television channel that was first launched in 1979. It is a cable channel for children, and was actually created to be the first TV network specifically directed towards kids. All the shows were child-friendly and featured a mixture of both cartoons and live action shows.

This TV network gained such a large following that it later created a sister program, Nick Jr. On this channel, shows were aimed specifically towards toddlers and very young children, featuring mostly animated television shows. Some of Nickelodeon’s most popular shows include Spongebob Squarepants, Drake & Josh, Kenan & Kel, and Rugrats, among several other series.

Nickelodeon’s top priority was finding ways to keep viewers interested. Sometimes this meant creating new TV shows, other times it meant making movies based off the series franchise, or even crafting original movies. Perhaps the most anticipated releases, however, were crossover episodes. Many of the networks most popular shows at the time would schedule specials where two or more beloved shows would come together.

Some of these specials included the mixture of Fairly OddParents and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, as well as later years iCarly and Victorious. Here are eight Nick crossovers that you may have forgotten about.

8/8 The Hoo, I’m Wild Wild West

One of the early Nickelodeon television series crossovers was between the shows Cousin Skeeter and Kenan & Kel. The former began airing in 1998, whereas the latter, starring Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, started releasing episodes in 1996.

In this 2-episode crossover event, the stars all come together for a vacation on a dude ranch. These episodes feature hilarity, evil, and adventure for the five main characters.

7/8 All That Amanda Show

Amanda Bynes has had an interesting life, and that started thanks to Nickelodeon. In 1994, All That brought her, Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, and several other actors onto the team. This made for a fun crossover event years later, as Bynes was cast in The Amanda Show, which began airing in 1999.

There were two episodes in which characters from The Amanda Show make appearances in All That, one of which is Drake Bell, who posed as “Totally Kyle.”

6/8 Rugrats Go Wild

In 1991, the beloved cartoon series Rugrats released its first season. Seven years later, The Wild Thornberrys joined the Nickelodeon ranks, and shortly afterwards the two came together for a crossover.

The two cartoons were brought into a movie, the third Rugrats film, which was titled Rugrats Go Wild. In this film, the rugrats end up stranded on an island that they think is deserted… That is, until the Thornberrys cross their path.

5/8 Jimmy Timmy Power Hour

Nickelodeon movies have been made so that both children and adults can enjoy them together. One such example is the crossover specials between The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius and The Fairly OddParents.

There were three hour-long specials, deemed the Jimmy Timmy Power Hour, that followed the adventures of Jimmy Neutron and Timmy Turner as they experienced each other’s worlds (and cartoon styles).

4/8 iParty With Victorious

Coming later in the game, Victorious starring Victoria Justice, Elizabeth Gilles, and Ariana Grande started airing in 2010. The show was preceeded by iCarly in 2007, featuring Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy.

The two shows came together for one grand crossover episode, creating the biggest party of the year. Things took a turn, however, when Carly and Tori find out they share a boyfriend. To make viewers even more interested, Kenan Thompson also makes a guest appearance in the episode.

3/8 Trans-Dimensional Turtles

There are many reasons why Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a fan favorite growing up. Over the years, there have been numerous television and film adaptations of the franchise.

With the first series debuting decades ago, Nickelodeon decided to bring more excitement to its 2012 television series by also bringing the original 1987 cartoon for a few specials. This crossover was a fun event, bringing all eight turtles together for various missions.

2/8 Danger And Thunder

Sean Ryan Fox got his start in the Nick show Henry Danger, which first started airing in 2014. Joined by Jace Norman and Cooper Barnes, this television show experienced a crossover with the series The Thundermans in the summer of 2016.

This special event brought in Thundermans stars Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, and Addison Riecke. Nickelodeon hyped up this episode so much that over 2.2 million viewers tuned in during the episode’s premier, making it one of the most successful crossovers on the network.

1/8 The Haunted Thundermans

Not long after the successful special with Henry Danger, the series The Thundermans had another crossover episode, but this time with the show The Haunted Hathaways. This show started in 2013, the same year as its crossover counterpart.

The episode takes place on Halloween, and the Thunderman family joins forces with the Hathaways (and Prestons) to track down a super-villian that managed to escape from Ghost World.
