The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has been a high-powered addition to the Real Housewives collection of shows. With a core group of women who showcase different beliefs, lifestyles, and opinions, the show is classic Real Housewives with an elevated twist. Though it’s one of the newest series, it’s proven itself time and time that it will be sticking around for the long haul.
There have been so many iconic moments that have come out of RHOSLC, and the show is only on its third season so far. While we’ve seen other Real Housewives shows be put on pause or canceled after a few seasons, we’re pretty sure that RHOSLC isn’t going anywhere. Here are eight reasons that we’re sure RHOSLC is going to stay on air.
8/8 RHOSLC Won Fans Over Quickly
When RHOLSC was announced to the Bravosphere, many were a little bit confused about the choice. Fans didn’t really understand why Bravo would pick Salt Lake City as their next home for a series of Real Housewives, so when the show premiered and shocked everyone, it made the series itself all the more better. From the luxurious vibe of the stunning Salt Lake mountains, to one of the cast members allegedly “sleeping with her grandfather,” it was clear that after the first trailer dropped, RHOSLC was going to show everyone just how amazing their show truly was going to be.
7/8 Salt Lake City Is Stunning And Different From Other Cities On Real Housewives
Many of the cities showcased in the varying series of Real Housewives don’t quite have scenery like Salt Lake City. While many shows are set in warm or moderate climates, Salt Lake City is one of the cities showcased in the U.S. that is always snowy, cold, and adorned by beautiful mountain views. We get to see a new high class, winter wonderland aesthetic from each of the women on RHOSLC.
6/8 The Cast May Be Small, But It’s Dynamic
With Season 3 of RHOLSC currently airing, we know that there are fewer than five permanent housewives in the cast. However, that doesn’t seem to mess up the Salt Lake ladies flow at all. Losing two housewives after Season 2 might have sounded alarming, but the rest of the OG women are really holding their own on the show. We won’t lie: It would be hilarious to see how Mary Cosby would react to certain events during Season 3, but moments like the RHOSLC panel during BravoCon showed us that this cast is more than fine just the way it is.
5/8 The Shifting Friendships Leave Us Wanting More
Since its fruition, RHOSLC (like all other series of Housewives) has seen that state of so many friendships constantly shifting. In Season 1 and 2, we watched as Meredith Marks and Jen Shah didn’t see eye to eye, and even as Heather Gay and Jen suffered some friendship troubles during the shows first season.

We all knew after Lisa Barlow’s hot mic moment during Season 2 that her friendship with Meredith would never be the same, and we get to watch that play out during Season 3: Something that everyone will want to see eventually resolved. Same goes with Salt Lake’s infamous best friend duo “Bad Weather.” Though Heather and Whitney Rose are going through some troubles right now during Season 3, fans are tuning in to hopefully see them get back on track.
4/8 The Mormon Church Adds A Different Element To The Show
Each iteration of Real Housewives adds unique elements that makes each city and group of women different from other series that we’ve seen before. Where RHONJ places a lot of focus on family relationships (and arguably the Italian lifestyle), RHOSLC always seems to have an underlying theme of religion in the air. Salt Lake City happens to be a city founded by Mormons, and we get to learn about different housewives’ experiences with the church itself throughout the show. During Season 1, many of the cast members talked about how important the Mormon church truly is to some people in Salt Lake City, while others explained their disdain toward the religion aa a whole.
3/8 The Legal Problems Are Something Everyone Wants To See Play Out
After Jen was arrested and hit with federal fraud charges during Season 2, this pretty much cemented the fact that the show was going to stay on the air. Real Housewives shows are no stranger to legal troubles stirring up the plot of a season, but Jen’s situation was something unseen on Real Housewives thus far. The women were filming and set to embark on a girls trip when the feds literally showed up looking for Jen. And after Jen pleaded guilty to one of her charges as part of her plea deal this year, it’s safe to say everyone wants to see what’s going to happen next.
2/8 Lisa Barlow’s Hot Mic Moment Is The Gift That Keeps On Giving
Like we mentioned, the bombshell hot mic moment where Lisa attacked many parts of Meredith’s life is not only a moment for RHOSLC, but now for the Real Housewives franchise at large. We all know: The moment was intense and insanely dramatic, and in Lisa’s blind rage, she went off on a rant about her so-called best friend Meredith. While the moment has been devastating for their friendship, it’s been referenced and idolized in the Bravosphere since it came out. The moment is now so iconic that actor Ralph Fiennes who plays the one and only Voldemort took to Watch What Happens Live (WWHL) and reenacted the moment. It’s truly a moment that will forever go down in Real Housewives history.
1/8 We Just Can’t Get Enough of RHOSLC
Whether it’s the amount of drama that always ensues from the luxe cast of RHOLSC or just the overall ambiance of Salt Lake City itself, we just cannot seem to get enough of Salt Lake City. The show stunned viewers when it was first announced, but quickly proved itself after Season 1 premiered. With so many storylines not having been wrapped up, and a few cast members hitting the cast of Ultimate Girls Trip Season 3, it’s clear that the show isn’t going to be leaving Bravo anytime soon.
