Adam Peaty is a multiple gold medal winner for his Olympic accomplishments as a swimmer, and he was partnered up with Katya Jones for the 2021 edition of Strictly Come Dancing. However, she is now trying her luck with a new dance partner – ex-footballer Tony Adams – and Adam couldn’t resist a dig at her after discovering his own motivational book appeared to be ranked lower in her list than Tony’s.
Katya hinted that she is intending to push her limits further in a bid to win the competition, or at least improve on the previous year’s scores.
She shared a photo of her latest book purchase, by two time Olympian and pal Aimee Fuller, which took pride of place on her shelves.
The tome, titled Fear Less Live More: Everything I’ve Learned From Testing My Limits, could be seen sitting on the top shelf in her London home, in a new Instagram video posted by the dancer.
To top it all off, she’d listed Adam’s own book, The Gladiator Mindset: Push Your Limits, Overcome Challenges, Achieve Your Goals, in fourth place – below both Aimee Fuller and her current dance partner, Tony Adams’, book.
British World Champion dancer Katya, who has not clinched the Glitterball trophy on Strictly since 2017, shared with her 210,000 avid followers that she was “very happy with my bookshelf”.

However, mischievous Adam Peaty couldn’t resist ribbing her, reposting the Instagram Stories slide with a witty retort of his own.
“I take it the bottom is the most important shelf then?” he quizzed in view of his 611,000 followers.
Adam has his own bestselling book that he may have expected would come first in Katya’s life – The Gladiator Mindset: Push Your Limits, Overcome Challenges, Achieve Your Goals.

The triple Olympic champion will not be competing on the show this year and has instead shared other life updates – his plans to imminently get a new tattoo, plus time spent boating by the sea and caring for his young son George.
Katya endured a minor setback last week when head judge Shirley Ballas said she couldn’t see any Samba in her partner Tony’s performance.
Tony had stripped down to red sequined shorts for the rendition of The Full Monty track ‘You Sexy Thing’ by Hot Chocolate, but had Shirley praising him for what some saw as the wrong reasons.
She chuckled that he was “entertaining”, rather than accomplishing the dance moves she had expected.
The former Arsenal legend also found himself the butt of jokes on Twitter, leading some to fear that it could be his final week in the show.
There had been similar setbacks as early as the first week, when the pair’s performance of Go West by The Village People left them with the lowest score on the leaderboard.
However, Katya is undeterred and is minded towards taking him all the way to victory, as she revealed in a recent interview.
“Nothing is a challenge too difficult for me. I love teaching, I love seeing people improve,” she insisted.
Tony may have taken a leaf out of her book with his motivational self-improvement techniques, too.
“He said, ‘I’m never going to do this!’ literally every single day. Then suddenly he went, ‘I reckon we can do this. There’s a glimmer of hope,'” she explained.
