Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis Express Heartbreak Over Sudden Conclusion of ‘And Just Like That’: ‘Deeply Saddened’

Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis — known to “Sex and the City” fans as Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York, respectively — have reacted to the abrupt cancellation of the franchise’s revival series “And Just Like That” with heartfelt statements.

“I can’t believe our wild beautiful And Just Like That ride is almost over,” Nixon wrote via Instagram Friday, alongside a carousel of behind-the-scenes pics from the HBO Max show.

“It has been such a delight from start to finish,” she continued. “I will miss working with these people everyday SO incredibly much but know we will always be a part of each other’s lives.”

Nixon, 59, finished her statement by promising more Instagram posts in the weeks ahead and “surprises” for the two-part series finale.

Davis took to Instagram Stories Friday to express her grief. “I am profoundly sad,” the actress wrote, alongside the network’s statement on the show’s ending.

“I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working hard on our show with deep love.” She also thanked the show’s loyal fans, adding, “we love you forever and ever.”

Davis, 60, later added Nixon’s post to her own Instagram Stories, writing that there are “not enough words to describe” her love for her longtime co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Nixon.

On Saturday, Nicole Ari Parker, who played Lisa Todd Wexley in the ill-fated revival series, entered the chat with a statement of her own. “An honor and a joy to be a part of this iconic family. ❤️,” Parker, 54, gushed via Instagram, alongside pics with the original three cast members.

She also thanked show runner Michael Patrick King, Parker, Davis, Nixon and the “extraordinary writers and producers,” concluding, “from the first day to the last, it has been Just Like That: Amazing.”

Kim Cattrall — who did not appear in the revival series, save a Season 2 cameo — posted a cryptic message on Friday.

“It’s the end of a very long week ❤️💋,” she wrote alongside a photo of a sunset over a body of water. Cattrall appeared as Samantha Jones in the original “Sex and the City” series that aired on HBO from 1998 to 2004.

Finally, Parker took to the same platform with a lengthy message, reflecting on her journey as Carrie Bradshaw, declaring that “it will be forever before I forget.”

The show’s cancellation was first announced by King when he took to Instagram Friday and divulged that as he was writing the last episode, “it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop” the widely criticized series.

The show runner thanked fans and explained that the announcement was held off “because we didn’t want the word ‘final’ to overshadow the fun of watching the season.”
