Victoria Beckham proudly accompanied her husband, David Beckham, as he was honored with a knighthood by King Charles III.

The couple appeared radiant as they attended the ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, November 4. Joining them were David’s parents, Sandra and David, to celebrate this significant milestone. Their presence highlighted a united family front amidst ongoing tensions within the broader Beckham family.

At the age of 50, David was knighted in recognition of his significant contributions to the world of sport and his charitable endeavors.

In a heartfelt statement to the BBC, David expressed his pride in receiving the distinguished title, saying, “I couldn’t be prouder. People know how patriotic I am — I love my country. I’ve always said how important the monarchy is to my family. I’m lucky enough to have traveled around the world, and all people want to talk to me about is our monarchy. It makes me proud.”

Following his knighthood, David took a moment to extend birthday wishes to Prince William. “Happy Birthday Prince William x,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories on Saturday, June 21, sharing a photo of the two together. Another post featured him smiling as he shook hands, capturing the joy of the occasion.

The former soccer player quipped that Charles, 76, was “quite impressed” with his suit for the occasion. David said that Victoria designed the outfit, which was inspired by some of Charles’ old looks.

“He’s the most elegantly dressed man that I know, so he inspired quite a few of my looks over the years, and he definitely inspired this look,” David added. “It was something that my wife made me.”

Victoria, meanwhile, opted to wear a navy blue dress with a matching fascinator.

It was announced in June that David would officially receive the knighthood. The honor is a long time coming for the British star.

This past May, a source told Us Weekly exclusively that David “really wants the knighthood” because of his dedication to England.

“[David] loves the royal family and even queued on his own to pay tribute to the Queen when she died,” the source added at the time. “He’s old-school and respectful.”

When it was announced that David was finally up for the knighthood, he couldn’t help but gush over the honor.

“Growing up in East London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honor,” Beckham said in a statement in June. “To have played for and captained my country was the greatest privilege of my career and literally a boyhood dream come true.”

Beckham made his professional soccer debut with Manchester United in 1992.

“Off the pitch, I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Britain around the world and work with incredible organizations that are supporting communities in need and inspiring the next generation,” the statement continued. “I’m so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I’m grateful to be recognized for work that gives me so much fulfillment.”

David concluded, “It will take a little while for the news to sink in but I’m immensely proud and it’s such an emotional moment for me to share with my family.”
