Hale’s mother, Norma, was vocal in her criticism of guns on social media. Her father Ronald is yet to comment on her murdering six people.
Audrey was 28, and art school student with ‘high functioning’ autism, according to law enforcement sources cited by The Daily Beast.
Chief Drake said yesterday that the two weapons purchased legally were bought locally.
Neighbor Sandy Durham said there were ‘no warning signs’ that would suggest Hale was capable of such violence.
‘Never. She was very sweet. I don’t know what happened. It’s very scary.’
But moments before she entered the school – while sitting in her car in the parking lot – Hale sent a final message to a friend telling her she planned to die.
‘So basically that post I made on here about you, that was basically a suicide note.

‘Audrey (Aiden),’ the messages read.
The friend called police but didn’t dial 911, so had to wait seven minutes for someone to answer her call.
By then, Hale had entered the school, shooting three children dead and three teachers, including Head of School Katherine Koonce.
Chief Drake said she was ‘assassinated’ in the hallway, and that Hale shot ‘everyone she came into contact with’.
Her motive remains unclear, but police say she felt ‘resentment’ about having attended the church school.
