Ghislaine Maxwell Transferred to Facility Housing Elizabeth Holmes and Jen Shah

Convicted sexual abuser Ghislaine Maxwell has been moved to a lower security prison in Texas — and now has at least two famous faces for fellow inmates.

On Friday, August 1, the longtime associate of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein — who died by suicide in 2019 — was moved from a federal prison in Florida to a lower-security prison camp in Texas, her lawyer confirmed to The New York Times.

Disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah are also housed at the same Texas facility, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Holmes, 41, is currently serving a 11 year prison sentence for fraud after she was convicted of intentionally misleading investors of her now-defunct blood testing company. Meanwhile, Shah, 51, is carrying out a six-and-a-half year sentence after she pled guilty to wire fraud in connection to a telemarketing scheme.

Jen Shah has officially reported to prison on Friday, February 17, to begin her 78 months behind bars, Us Weekly can confirm. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 49, requested to serve her sentence at Federal Prison Camp, Bryan (FPC Bryan) in Texas — the same facility where Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes has […]

In 2022, Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors, including children as young as 14 years of age.

“Today’s sentence holds Ghislaine Maxwell accountable for perpetrating heinous crimes against children,” U.S. attorney Damian Williams said in a Department of Justice statement at the time. “This sentence sends a strong message that no one is above the law and it is never too late for justice. We again express our gratitude to Epstein and Maxwell’s victims for their courage in coming forward, in testifying at trial, and in sharing their stories as part of today’s sentencing.”

There has been a renewed interest in Maxwell and the late Epstein’s case, after then-presidential candidate Donald Trump claimed he would release the so-called “Epstein files,” an alleged list of all the late sex offender’s clients, if he made it back to the White House for a second time.

After Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed earlier this month that Epstein did not maintain a “client list,” despite previously claiming she had the so-called files “on her desk,” reports surfaced alleging the president — who had a documented friendship with Epstein and Maxwell – was named as one of Epstein’s clients. (According to The Wall Street Journal, the Department of Justice informed Trump his name was in the files. Bondi claimed the DOJ will not release the files due to the presence of child pornography.)

Maxwell was moved to the Texas prison camp just days after she met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. Maxwell has claimed via her attorney that she is willing to testify about her and Epstein’s crimes in front of Congress, if granted immunity and a slew of other demands. President Donald Trump has also floated the possibility of issuing Maxwell a presidential pardon.

“Well, I’m allowed to give her a pardon, but I — nobody’s approached me with it. Nobody’s asked me about it,” the president told reporters last week. “It’s in the news about that, that aspect of it, but right now, it would be inappropriate to talk about it.”

Holmes started serving her 11 year sentence at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, on May 30, 2023. In addition to her incarceration, she was ordered to pay $452 million in restitution.

Documents that name dozens of public figures associated with accused sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have been unsealed.  The first of what is expected to be multiple batches of documents were released in federal court in New York on Wednesday, January 3, following federal judge Loretta A. Preska’s December 18 ruling. The documents were initially filed […]

Shah, for her part, began her sentence in February 2023.

“Jen has been doing very well — working on her personal self and focused on her journey towards positive rehabilitation,” Shah’s rep wrote in a December 2024 journal entry via her website. “Jen is currently focused on her next holiday beauty showcase within FPC Bryan Prison and continues to send love to her family, fans and friends who continuously message her in support. She is thankful for everyone who continues to pray and uphold her in a positive light.”

Shah has since had her prison sentence reduced four times. She is scheduled for release on September 19, 2026, nearly two months earlier than expected.

If you or anyone you know has been sexually abused, call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673). A trained staff member will provide confidential, judgment-free support as well as local resources to assist in healing, recovering and more.
