Gleb Savchenko Just Shaded Brooks Nader On DWTS

If you’ve been following along with Season 34 of Dancing With The Stars, you might know that it’s widely considered to be one of the most star-studded casts the dance competition has ever boasted. In addition to pro athletes, reality TV stars, famous influencers, and more, many of your favorite dance pros have also returned.

One such dance pro who had a drama-filled season last year is Gleb Savchenko. After he had a tumultuous and short-lived fling with his then-dance partner Brooks Nader, he’s since made some comments which viewers believe to be passive aggressively geared at her.

Gleb Threw Shade At Brooks After His First Dance

Things with Brooks came crashing down after she supposedly found evidence on Gleb’s phone that he was cheating on her with other women. While Gleb continues to deny any such behavior, it does seem like he’s taken this new season as a chance to share how he really feels about his ex.

His new partner this season is influencer Hilaria Baldwin, who’s happily married to actor Alec Baldwin. During their first week together, Hilaria and Gleb performed a cha-cha to JLo’s song “Let’s Get Loud.” The pair scored a 14 out of 20 total points, placing them in second for the week. After the performance, Gleb made a quip about how much better he believed his partner this season was compared to last:

I’m most looking forward to just enjoying work and dance. Finally, I have a partner that I can go out there and dance with and really enjoy and not try to figure out the routine of like, ‘Okay, let me just hide all of your minuses and bring out your pluses.’

“[We can] actually go out there and create something. I can create something that will hopefully be an incredible routine and tell the story through dance. That’s what I’m all about, and that’s what Hilaria brings to the floor,” he added, seemingly alluding to the mess with Brooks last season.

Hilaria Backed Her Partner

Fans might be wondering about Hilaria’s take on the matter, as she’s caught in the middle of the drama. When asked for her take on the situation after her and Gleb’s first performance, she simply smiled and added a short comment about the situation:

Zero drama. Only fun, good vibes

By all accounts, Hilaria seems very excited about the opportunity to compete on Dancing With The Stars. In the weeks leading up to the Season 34 cast announcement, fans noticed that she was posting several dance clips on her social media, including one where she referred to husband Alec as the “best dance teacher” that she could ask for, apparently a hint that she was joining the show.

Considering the promising feedback that Hilaria and Gleb got from the judges for their first dance, it seems like the pair may be in for a successful season. They came second only to fellow competitors Witney Carson and Robert Irwin, who took home a score of 15 out of 20. New episodes of DWTS will air on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET / PT (7:00 p.m. CT / MT) on ABC and stream the next day on Hulu.
