Gwyneth Paltrow reunited with daughter Apple for a “great few days” in New York City over the weekend – two months after the 18-year-old started college.
The duo bonded over shopping trips and restaurant outings, which the actress gave a glimpse of via Instagram Stories on Sunday.
“Whoops,” Paltrow, 50, captioned a Bergdorf Goodman mirror selfie with her eldest child.
The Goop creator also highlighted meals at Monkey Bar, 53 NYC and the “always perfect” Elio’s.
Paltrow, who is also the mother of son Moses, 16, compared Apple moving out to “giving birth” when the teen started her freshman year in September.
“I know this sounds nuts, [but] it feels almost as profound,” the “Shakespeare in Love” star explained during a “CBS This Morning” interview.
The following month, Paltrow recalled “bursting into tears” over the major milestone.
“It was horrible. It was truly horrifying. I was sick to my stomach,” the Oscar winner told People in October, noting that she was getting “more and more used to” the transition.

“She came home for October break just last weekend, so that was amazing,” Paltrow added. “I see her but not as much as I’d like. I’d like to see her every day, but I’m so happy for her. She’s doing great.”
The businesswoman shares her children with ex-husband Chris Martin, and she reunited with the Coldplay frontman for Apple’s high school graduation in June.
“Congratulations to all of the graduates especially @applemartin,” Paltrow wrote alongside a family selfie over the summer. “Class of 2022.”
The former couple split in 2014 and have been coparenting ever since — which isn’t always “as good as it looks.”
Paltrow explained to Drew Barrymore in September 2020 that she and the Grammy winner have “good and bad” days post-divorce.
“If you’re committed to having family dinner, then you do it,” the Golden Globe winner said. “You take a deep breath and you look the person in the eye and you remember your pact and you smile and you hug … and recommit to this new relationship that you are trying to foster.”
Martin moved on with Dakota Johnson in 2017. Paltrow, for her part, married Brad Falchuk in 2018.
