Nonetheless, Hallmark decided to conclude the series with its fourth season, as announced in November 2025.
The Way Home weaves the intriguing tale of the Landry family and their encounters with a mystical pond on their estate that facilitates time travel. This unusual phenomenon allows characters to explore the intertwined histories of the Landry, Goodwin, and Augustine families across various eras, such as the early 1800s, the Roaring Twenties, the vibrant 1970s, and the nostalgic 1990s. Viewers have relished piecing together the puzzle of the show’s many enigmas throughout its run.
Expressing their appreciation, several cast members took to Instagram to acknowledge the unwavering support from fans over the series’ four seasons. Andie MacDowell, who portrays Del Landry, effusively remarked, “Fans have been so amazing for this show.” Chyler Leigh, known as Kat Landry, conveyed her heartfelt thanks, saying, “Thank you so much for being with us and sharing the love. MacDowell also expressed her thanks for the fans who took the time to try to put the pieces of The Way Home’s mysteries together. She said, “So grateful to the fans and how much they care and how hard they look for all the clues. They inspire us all the time.” Evan Williams (Elliot Augustine) added, “Thank you for being on the journey with us.” MacDowell agreed, saying, “Yes.”
The Way Home Fans Want The Series Renewed
In the comments section of The Way Home’s post, fans had strong reactions, with many of them stating that they don’t want to see the show end. They want Hallmark Channel to add a fifth season or Netflix, which also airs the show, to pick it up. One fan stated, “This story can’t possibly be over; there’s still so much to unfold.
