Former This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes, 63, has insisted Holly Willoughby, 42, has a friendship of convenience with her co-star Alison Hammond, 48, and that she is simply “using” her.
The GB News journalist has claimed their unexpected friendship would “never have happened two years ago” in a scathing rant.
It comes after Holly’s ITV co-host Phillip Schofield, 61, admitted to having an affair with a much younger male following his departure from This Morning.
Before this, reports of a feud between Phillip and Holly emerged, and following his bombshell admission, Holly broke her silence by telling her fans on social media how “hurt” she felt after her he “lied to her” about the affair.
Eamonn, who used to host This Morning with his wife Ruth Langsford, 63, has been vocal about his feelings towards his former co-stars and ex-employer, ITV.

Following Phillip’s departure, Alison is a favourite to take over as Holly’s co-presenter after viewers previously praised them for their on-screen chemistry.
Alison currently presents the show on Fridays with her co-host Dermot O’Leary, 50.
Appearing on Dan’s show yesterday, Eamonn also said of Phillip: “He created an atmosphere where people hated him, that people would avoid them in the corridor, he didn’t look at anybody, he didn’t know anybody’s names.
He then added: “Holly doesn’t know people’s names either. This is legendary within the production team, how distant they are, and how they just don’t care.
“Not only should Phillip go, but [co-host] Holly [Willoughby] should follow him out the door. I don’t think you’ll ever see Holly back on the couch again.”
Meanwhile, Holly released a statement following Phillip’s confession about his affair, which read: “It’s taken time to process yesterday’s news.
“When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not. It’s been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie. Holly.”
