In 2012, Kevin James Bought a Stunning Home in Delray Beach, Florida, and Bought Another One Almost A Decade Later
In 2012, Kevin and his wife, fellow actress Steffiana de la Cruz, purchased an $18.85 million lavish oceanfront home in Delray Beach, Florida. Located at 502 North Ocean Boulevard, James’ home is an elaborate Mediterranean-style estate with eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and 26,000 square feet of living space.
The couple ended up selling this Delray Beach home for $26.38 million in 2016. They listed the home through an entity called the Opierussell Trust. Originally, they put the mansion on the market in February with a price of $28.85 million. But it wasn’t after five months and a $2.47 million price cut that James walked away from the property with a profit of roughly $7.8 million.
Then, in 2021, the actor returned to Delray Beach, Florida, after purchasing a $14 million oceanfront six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom estate in this city. The property measures an impressive 18,906 square feet, with direct beach access and an attached five-car garage. And, in addition to the main house, which stands three stories tall, the property also includes a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house.
Kevin James Lost Millions When He Finally Sold His Delray Beach Mansion
In 2022, less than a year and a half after spending $14 million on a freshly renovated Colonial Caribbean plantation-style mansion, Kevin James and his wife Steffiana decided to put their Delray Beach home back on the market at $19.95 million price. While sources claimed that there had been a few minor cosmetic changes made to the property, it wasn’t clear whether these could account for the nearly 40% uptick in value the asking price represented.
Clearly, buyers weren’t convinced by this. After almost a year on the market, this stunning Delray Beach home changed hands for $12.67 million. Meaning that James ended up selling the property at an almost $2 million loss. However, this was not James’ primary home. It seems that the actor and his wife have chosen to live in New York, in the blue-blooded Long Island village of Old Westbury, where they purchased a $20 million trio of large parcels and a stately mansion between 2011 and 2015.
