The Jonas Brothers may be one of the most successful bands in history, with mega hits like “Sucker”, “Love Bug”, and “Burnin’ Up”, but the music industry isn’t their only profitable venture and neither is there growing resume as actors.

Nick, Joe, and Kevin have each formed and collaborated on many projects outside the band and their own solo careers as artists, as well as create their own products without their brothers – some that make perfect sense and others that may seem a bit unusual. Most people may not even be aware of some of the business deals and startups they’ve been a part of.

One of their most recent team ups has been with Rob’s Backstage Popcorn. When the Jonas Brothers first started touring they would regularly enjoy popcorn cooked by the father of their previous bass-guitarist and now member of their management, Rob Garbowsky. Years later they decided to start selling different artisanal flavors of the delicious popcorn online and in stores like Walmart. Flavors include a sweet & salty, a collab with Kelly Clarkson titled Kelly’s Classic BBQ, and a nod to Nick Jonas’s wife Priyanka Chopra with Priyanka’s Mumabi Nights.

However, Teaming up with Rob’s Backstage Popcorn wasn’t the Jonas Brothers first foray into the culinary world and certainly not their last. The family opened a restaurant in 2016, Nellie’s Southern Kitchen, inspired by Kevin Sr.’s grandmother who was a wonderful cook and passed away in 2011. The restaurant opened in the Belmont, North Carolina, and recently opened a second location last year in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. The brothers have also invested together in the healthy soda brand Olipop.

Nick Jonas and wife Priyanka Chopra have also invested in the culinary world with the seasonal restaurant and bar True Food Kitchen. Nick Jonas also helped found Villa One tequila with John Varvatos which partnered with Villa One Tequila Gardens and Chopra is signed on as a collaborator for a restaurant that serves modern Indian food, Sona.

Joe Jonas also had a miniseries through Quibi called Cup of Joe, where he traveled the globe meeting celebs and drinking coffee. The Cup of Joe brand has continued with merchandise and a few pop up shows. Joe also had a restaurant in Santa Monica known as Hinterland. This Jonas has also teamed up with some high profile names like Travis Barker to invest in the company Mindright, which combines super food ingredients and snacks to help with one’s mental health and energy levels.

All The Jonas Brothers’ Side Hustles

The Jonas Brothers stay quite busy outside of food as well, especially with Kevin Jonas exploring many avenues after the brothers split back in 2013. Kevin founded the real estate and construction company JonasWerener shortly after the band’s breakup and also became a co-CEO of a company that helps influencers titled The Blu Market. He was also a creator of the short-lived app Yood, which would help users figure out where and what to eat and formed a partnership with the app We Heart It.

But Kevin Jonas has partnered with his wife Danielle Jonas on many projects as well, such as the maternity app Amazing Baby Days and a children’s book titled There’s a Rock Concert in My Bedroom that was released in 2022.

Kevin Jonas is also no stranger to television, after starring in a reality show with his wife, Married to Jonas, and appearing on a few episodes of popular shows like Celebrity Apprentice, his most recent project on the small screen comes with the “Bonus Jonas” Frankie Jonas in the ABC series Claim to Fame. The two brothers host the show, exploring less famous relatives of celebrities in a house together to win $100,000, with season two airing on June 26th.

Other projects outside of music, food, and acting, include the launch of a video subscription service for smartphones called Scriber, where fans can see exclusive content of their favorite artists and celebs, enter contests, get access to secret shows, and win prizes.

The brothers have also ventured into the world of fashion many times, including Nick’s shoe collection 1410 with Creative Recreation in 2017 and a spring line in 2018 with Jonas Varvatos, who he also collaborated with to create Villa One tequila. One of Nick’s most recent fashion collabs came in late 2022 with a modern 24-piece collection with the golf brand PXG, inspired by his love of the sport since the age of fifteen where he and his brothers would spend time golfing while touring to burn some energy.

What Projects Are The Jonas Brothers Focusing On Next?

Upcoming projects for the brothers include a long awaited memoir, Blood, which may have seen a title change to The Book, to match the theme of their sixth and latest album, The Album. The book was originally set for a 2019 release but has been pushed back numerous times, with a current speculated date set for September 2023.

Nick and Joe have also been busy with their acting careers outside of music and their many business ventures, with Joe’s latest film release in 2022 with the film Devotion starring alongside Jonathan Majors and Glen Powell, and Nick’s latest film Love Again, a 2023 romantic comedy which he briefly appeared in with his wife who was leading lady.

The brothers also had a recent short residency in March 2023 at the Marquis Theatre on Broadway, performing one of their albums each night, leading up to their newest release. This door back into the world of theatre could hold many possibilities. After all, Nick Jonas used to have a career on the stage and was a producer on the 2021 comedic play, Chicken & Biscuits.

Whatever their next business ventures entail, the brothers are certainly staying busy, whether it is in the music industry or not. From artisanal popcorn and Michelin star restaurants, to golf fashion collabs and construction work, the brothers are much more than musicians and have proven they have an eye for business.
