James Kennedy is returning to SUR later this month for the first time since his domestic violence arrest.

According to a joint Instagram announcement in regard to the event, the 33-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum, who was arrested in December 2024 after an alleged altercation with then-girlfriend Ally Lewber, 29, will be back at the venue on Tuesday, September 23, at 8 p.m. for a charity event benefitting Midnight Mission, a homeless shelter in Los Angeles.

“It’s start with a pulse! Join [James Kennedy] for an electrifying evening of sounds at SUR … Get ready to dance, celebrate, and give back! Proceeds from the event will benefit [Midnight Mission],” the post read, adding that tickets were available through Eventbrite.

James also added an additional message in the comments section, which read, “Wow, SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY RETURNS FOR A SPECIAL, ONLY ONCE THIS YEAR EVENT, AND HERE IT IS! Pump-TINI! See you soon.”

Although some fans said that James’ return to SUR was “ammaaazzing” and the “best news,” others asked, “Seriously?” Others called out the restaurant’s owner, Lisa Vanderpump, 64, who has long been accused of being too easy on the DJ.

“Wait…..so is [Jax Taylor] getting behind the bar? Hurt women and SUR welcomes you,” one person stated, signaling Jax’s physical aggressions against estranged wife Brittany Cartwright, 36.

“Shame on LVP and most of all shame on him,” added another.

As Pump Rules fans will recall, James hasn’t only been accused of getting physical with Ally, who broke up with him shortly after his arrest. In fact, both Kristen Doute, 42, and Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 30, have alluded to similar behavior in their own past relationships with James.

Kristen even called out Lisa earlier this year after the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star suggested James didn’t hurt Ally, labeling her former SUR boss as “diabolical.”

“I will never, ever be okay with this constant abuse-enabling behavior. To have the audacity to dumb down not only facts, but also feelings, makes me sick to my stomach,” Kristen declared. “To every woman who is a survivor of DV and wasn’t believed or supported, I am so sorry.”
