Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright revealed one another’s most annoying traits on the debut episode of their new podcast.
Before revealing the worst part of appearing on a reality show and confirming whether or not they miss Vanderpump Rules, Jax and Brittany put one another’s worst traits on blast as they shared their plans to expand their family.
“You drop everything. You fidget. You’re always moving your feet and your heads,” Jax said of Brittany on the March 28 episode of When Reality Hits.
Meanwhile, Brittany said Jax’s most annoying trait is either his “snoring” or that he leaves “all the cabinets and doors open.”
“That drives me insane,” she admitted.
Following their 2019 wedding, Jax and Brittany welcomed son Cruz in April 2021. And soon, they could be welcoming another baby.
“I want another baby like now,” Brittany declared. “I’ve had baby fever since Cruz started being able to walk.”
But Jax wants to make sure Cruz reaches a particular milestone before welcoming a second child into their family.
“I said I wanted Cruz to be out of diapers before we had our second one. I just kinda want him out of that diaper phase,” Jax noted, not clarifying whether or not Cruz is potty trained quite yet.
Looking back at the years they spent on Pump Rules, Brittany said the worst part of reality TV is the judgment that comes with it — and Jax agreed.
“Everybody judges you and that’s really hard to deal with, especially over things we have no control over,” Brittany explained. “We don’t know what’s happening and a viewer sees everything pieced together. We live it and then we have to relive it … [And] if something bad happened it can be really hard to relive that … That’s why I feel so bad for [Ariana Madix] because everything is so blown up and crazy right now.”
Jax further explained that the pressures of filming were immense.

“You’re filming seven days a week and the cameras are just on, on on,” he shared. “And for me, I was a punching bag on that show. I was a bully. I was a villain. I got beat up a lot, just beat up a lot. I had to have some thick skin. I felt like a lot of the guys could hide behind me … whatever I did took precedent over what they did.”
Still, in a somewhat unexpected revelation, Jax admitted he misses the show.
“Yes. I do. There’s things that I don’t miss but overall … It was almost a decade of my life. That’s a huge, huge part of your life,” he stated.
“I miss it too,” Brittany replied. “It was a lot of fun. We did live through some bad things but it was a lot of fun, too.”
According to Jax, he needed a break towards the end of his run on Pump Rules for his mental health.
“You didn’t have any patience. You were so over everything,” Brittany recalled.
“I would just not show up to scenes. I was being a diva,” Jax confessed. “It was my job. I had the best job in the world, I was making great money and my job was to go to the beach and sit in the sand and I literally said, ‘I’m not going today because I don’t want to go sit through traffic.’ I took it for granted. But now, being off for two years … I took it for granted.”
“I do miss it and if we were asked to go back, I would do that,” he confirmed.
At the end of the episode, while answering questions from fans, Jax and Brittany shared their marriage tips.
“Happy wife, happy life. Don’t sweat the small stuff. [And] pick and chose your battles,” Jax stated, also noting that “communication” and “laughter” were key.
“I struggle with [communication] sometimes. I’m a very stubborn, hard-headed person,” he explained. “We bicker all the time.”
As for Brittany, she added, “For me it’s patience. Patience is key in our relationship. Definitely laugh a lot. You gotta pick your battles.”
The conclusion of the three-part Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion airs Wednesday, June 7, at 9/8c on Bravo.
