Jenny Ryan admits she's worried The Chase co-star Bradley Walsh 'doesn't trust me anymore'

The Chase quizzer Jenny Ryan has admitted exclusively to that she may have sacrificed Bradley Walsh’s trust in her when she teamed up with Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly for one of their Saturday Night Takeaway Undercover pranks.

The Vixen star, who is set to take on a new role as the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this winter, played a key part in Ant and Dec’s practical joke in 2020, which saw host Bradley storm off in frustration, as the Geordie duo had managed to trick him for a second time.

Jenny revealed that the prank was “the biggest test” of her acting skills, as Ant and Dec communicated with her through an earpiece.

The Chaser was instructed to confuse Bradley by getting people’s names wrong, while the contestants, who were also in on the joke, also messed with the ITV presenter at the same time.

When quizzed on her part in the memorable Saturday Night Takeaway episode, Jenny admitted she didn’t think she would get away with pranking her co-star again, due to losing his trust.

She divulged: “I don’t know if Brad trusts me anymore after that! It would have to be another one of my colleagues [to prank him again]!

“But that was a lot, a lot of planning went into that, and the pressure I put on myself to keep my game face…

“That’s the biggest test of my acting I’ve ever had,” Jenny recalled.

Jenny will be putting her acting talents to the test in a different way later this year, as she will transform into the villainous Wicked Queen at the Darlington Hippodrome’s 2023 pantomime.

Discussing the exciting role, The Chase favourite told that her “fierce” Vixen persona from the ITV game show will be helping her get into character.

Jenny explained: “I think playing the villain is always great fun – you’ve got a licence to ramp everything up, go right over the top.

“So that’s really what I’ve got to get my head into – that space – but there’s got to be a little bit of The Vixen in there, she’s the fierce, scary one, so she could have a little bit of input in how we play the Wicked Queen.

“She’s definitely going to help out, but I’m playing a royal so there’s going to be even more regal imperiousness about the character I’m playing.

“It’s taking a bit of inspiration from lots of people, but it’s not something I ever thought would happen – a working class lass from Bolton being a queen, a proper queen with a crown, not just a, you know, we’re all queens-queen!

“So it’s an exciting career development,” she added.

Tickets for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are available here.
