The fight for Chloe Chrisley is on.
In a recent turn of events, Angela Johnson, Chloe’s mother, is vowing to regain custody of the 10-year-old, whom she shares with Todd and Julie Chrisley’s son, Kyle Chrisley.
Kyle and Angela had Chloe in 2012 and were both granted joint custody of Chloe, that is until Kyle lost custody of his daughter during his battle with drug addiction in 2016, and custody was handed over to Todd and Julie.
In that same year Angela was arrested for filing a fraudulent application for Medicaid assistance, and she, too, lost custody of Chloe, leaving the Chrisleys with sole custody.
Now, Angela says she is ready to fight back and due to Todd and Julie being found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud that comes along with a combined 19 years to be served in prison, she may have a chance.
In a video via TMZ, Angela says that though she hasn’t filed a “legal paperwork” yet, she is in the process of “getting legal papers filed” in order to “get Chloe back home.”
Angela claims that she’s been trying to get Chloe back for years, but that jurisdiction and “location” issues stemming from the Chrisley’s moving from Georgia to Tennessee has caused a delay in the process. Angela currently resides in South Carolina.
“In that time frame that Chloe’s been gone, I was talking to attorneys, and we were trying to figure out which way to go about getting Chloe back home,” Angela stated in the video. “But at the same time, it’s kind of like we were at a standstill because we’re trying to figure out where we would actually end up in court. Because they live in like two or three different states.”

After Todd and Julie’s convictions and prison sentences were handed down, it has been reported that “sister,” Savannah Chrisley, will be granted custody of Chloe in her parent’s absence. A decision that Angela clearly doesn’t agree with.
In another video, Angela tearfully pleas for Chloe to be returned to her and accuses the Chrisley Knows Best family for pretending she doesn’t exist.
“She [Chloe] deserves to be home. I’ve held back for so long,” Angela said in-between sobs. “I’m] trying to patiently do it, and I don’t think it’s right for them [The Chrisleys] to pretend I don’t exist and say, ‘Oh, we’re just gonna let Savannah get her.”
“As far as Savannah goes with Chloe, I don’t think it’s right,” Angela continued. “Because at the end of the day, I’m her biological mom. I was cut of out her life. I didn’t walk away from her. I was pushed out of her life and they [The Chrisleys] wanted me to forget about Chloe and they wanted Chloe to forget about me.”

Angela also denies any wrongdoing and affirms her innocence in her 2016 arrest.
“I even have proof I didn’t commit Medicaid fraud, and I never claimed Chloe when I could not claim Chloe,” she said.
The Chrisleys have yet to respond to Angela’s claims nor attempts to regain custody of Chloe.
