Melissa and Joe Gorga are about to get some new, very familiar neighbors.
Just months after the Real Housewives of New Jersey couple moved into their new home in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, Kathy Wakile and her husband, Richie Wakile, have purchased a property of their own on the very same street.
“According to property records online, Kathy and Rich are building their new house on the same street as Melissa and Joe’s new Franklin Lakes home, which they moved into in late 2022,” All About the Real Housewives revealed on Instagram on March 25.
As seen on Zillow, the property that the Wakiles purchased was a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home that last sold in 2022 for just under $1 million.
Also on Instagram, real estate broker Tony Nabhan confirmed the sale in a joint post with the former RHONJ cast member.
“I couldn’t be any happier for my clients on securing this once in a lifetime opportunity ~ nearly 2 acres with 300 feet of lakefront property. After enduring a barrage of offers, the Wakile’s can now start on their newest project called home!” he wrote, along with a photo of them standing in the backyard.
Meanwhile, on Kathy’s page, she shared a couple of posts about the property.
“[Kathy Wakile and] I can’t wait to share our next project with you all!” one of her posts, a re-share from someone else, read. “Kathy is the designer [and] decorator always … Excited to get started [Richie Wakile]. It was love at first sight before it was even for sale.”
And in another, Kathy’s daughter Victoria Wakile mentioned the parties they’ll have.
News of the Wakiles’ home purchase comes just weeks after Melissa appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, where she dished on her relationships with Kathy and Rosie Pierri, admitting that she and Joe are regretful that they cut them out to appease Teresa Giudice.
“Yes … Joe always thinks about that as well. And I think he did that for her,” Melissa explained. “She got out of prison, and she thought that was her next step, He wanted to please her, but you can see him in that scene, he was very uncomfortable. That’s the only family he has, and we love Kathy and Rosie, and I’m sad that we don’t have them anymore.”
