Renowned fashion designer Kenneth Cole is preparing to relist his Westchester mansion, which recently garnered attention when Hollywood icon George Clooney leased it. Clooney’s stay coincided with his Broadway appearance in “Good Night, and Good Luck” earlier this year, adding another layer to the property’s illustrious history.
The estate, meticulously designed by the famous architect Stanford White, is celebrated as one of the most architecturally significant private residences in the county. This fact was confirmed by a well-placed source who shared insights with Page Six, highlighting the home’s unique allure.
After being listed last year with an asking price of $22 million, Cole is discreetly preparing to showcase the property once more. The mansion, situated in Purchase, NY, dates back to the 1900s and boasts a storied past. It was prominently featured in the 1969 film adaptation of Philip Roth’s novel “Goodbye, Columbus,” which starred Ali MacGraw and Richard Benjamin.

Cole’s fashion brand is reportedly valued at over $1 billion. The footwear guru, 71, picked up the place for a mere $2.8 million in 1991.
He previously told Bloomberg he was parting ways with the seven-bedroom pad because his three kids were all grown.
The 12,000-square-foot, three-level home sits on a gated 14-acre lot and is surrounded by acres of gardens.
It also has three different office spaces, Realtor.com reported when it was last up for sale.
The previous broker for the property told Mansion Global: “It’s unique because it’s the largest parcel in lower Westchester.”
They pitched it as “a magnificent Colonial that has a gated entry and that’s reached via a long meandering drive.”
Clooney was nominated for a Tony for his role in the limited-run play “Good Night, and Good Luck,” the theater adaptation of his acclaimed 2005 film.
