Meghan Trainor recently captured attention with a striking mirror selfie that she shared on her Instagram Story on October 29. The image, originally posted by her fitness coach Bella Maher on the Malibu Bodies personal training page, showcases Trainor’s impressive fitness journey.

In the photo, both Trainor and Maher are dressed in sleek, all-black workout gear complemented by white socks and sneakers. Trainor adds a playful touch by extending one leg, emphasizing her long legs, and lifting her shirt to reveal her toned abs. She completes the look with a playful duck lips pose directed at the mirror. Maher captioned the photo with an inspiring message: “Progress. Power. Peace.”

Just days before this, Maher highlighted Trainor’s remarkable transformation, sharing before-and-after photos on the Malibu Bodies page. The images celebrate the pop star’s ongoing dedication and success in her weight loss journey.

Trainor’s new look isn’t just confined to her social media. She made a stunning appearance at the premiere of Peacock’s “The Paper” in Los Angeles on August 27. The 31-year-old singer turned heads in a chic black-and-white shorts set, paired with tights and kitten heels. Her ensemble was elegantly finished with her blonde hair styled into an updo, showcasing her refreshed and confident appearance.

“Watching her transform from the inside out has been one of the most meaningful parts of my work,” Maher wrote, sharing side-by-side photos from January 2024 and this month. “She did so much of this on her own before ever introducing a GLP-1, and even after starting it, the medication was simply a support, not the reason for her results. GLP-1s can be a powerful tool, but they’re certainly not a transformation plan. SHE is the reason this worked.”

Maher continued, “She prioritized strength training, protein, intention, structure, and showing up even on the days she didn’t feel like it. She built this. She earned this. And now she gets to live in a body that supports her for life. SO proud of you, my girl!!”

Trainor has been on a fitness journey since she gave birth to her and husband Daryl Sabara’s second child, son Barry, in July 2023. (The couple also share son Riley, 4.) The “All About That Bass” singer got candid about her transformation in a March Instagram post after she attended Billboard’s Women in Music event, where she was given the Hitmaker Award.

“Feeling so honored to be recognized by @billboard Women in Music as a Hitmaker — what a dream! But it’s a little disheartening that so many of the questions (and comments) were focused on my body instead of my music, my passion, or the decade of hard work that got me here. This is what it’s like to be a woman in the music industry,” she wrote. “No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago. I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me.”

Trainor explained that her weight loss is the result of several different factors, including working with a dietician, making lifestyle changes, exercising with a trainer — “and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”

Trainor later opened up about taking Mounjaro, a type 2 diabetes drug that is often prescribed off-label for weight loss, with Sabara, 33.

“Daryl and I both do everything together,” she said on their “Workin’ On It” podcast in April.

Rosie O’Donnell surprised fans in May 2025 by revealing a positive update on her weight loss journey — which she credited to using the medication Mounjaro. The injectable drug (also known as tirzepatide) is similar to Ozempic and Wegovy in that it is used primarily to treat diabetes, but can also be effective in weight […]

Trainor stressed that anyone who uses the medication has to “put in the work as well.”

“We were like, ‘We have to make sure we don’t lose muscle that we worked so hard gaining all those years,’” she said. “We stay in the gym, we work out, we eat right, and we just noticed that we were less hungry.”

Trainor also addressed her decision to speak out on Instagram after the Women in Music event.

“Everyone just wants to talk about my body and we’re not here about my body. I’m here about my music,” she said. “I’m reading these comments and I go, ‘Oh, my God, these are all bad.’ There was not one nice comment. Like, the meanest things I’ve ever been told. I look up and I just started sobbing,” she explained. “I just felt like a 13-year-old girl being bullied out loud in front of my whole class again. Later, I was so frustrated. Everyone’s calling me ‘Ozempi Ozempi,’ so I’m just going to explain my journey with my health in an Instagram post, and I’m never going to talk to them about it ever again on my social media.”
