Reese Witherspoon appeared frustrated in her first public sighting since announcing her split from husband Jim Toth.
The “Legally Blonde” star was spotted in Nashville, Tenn., Thursday on what seemed like a serious phone call, according to photos obtained by the Daily Mail.
She was also noticeably not wearing her wedding ring.
It is unclear what Witherspoon’s tense conversation was about. Page Six has reached out to her reps for comment but did not immediately hear back.
For the outing, Witherspoon wore a blue-and-white striped shirt and white jeans.
She paired the look with a pair of sunglasses, a straw hat, tan sandals, a bag and a belt.
On March 24, Witherspoon and Toth shared with the public that they were calling it quits — days before they were set to celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary.
“It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” Witherspoon, 47, said on behalf of her and her ex in a joint statement on Instagram.

The “Big Little Lies” alum and producer also noted that — despite their split — they “have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.”

The former couple explained that their “biggest priority” is their 10-year-old son, Tennessee, as well as their “entire family as we navigate this next chapter.”
“These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time,” they concluded in the post.
Page Six exclusively reported last week that the pair’s marriage ended because there was “zero romance” left.
Toth, 52, and Witherspoon tied the knot in March 2011 at her California ranch after almost one year of dating.
Shortly after their nuptials, the “Cruel Intentions” star gushed about the former Creative Artist Agency executive’s relationship with her two eldest kids: Ava, 23, and Deacon, 19, whom she shares with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.
“I got lucky. I did. I got very lucky,” she told Marie Claire in September 2011. “He’s so wonderful with the children. I’m very blessed.”
In 2021, Witherspoon took to Instagram to commemorate a decade of marriage with Toth.
“Celebrating 10 years of marriage to my sweet hubby,” the “Your Place or Mine” star captioned a photo from their ceremony at the time. “What a special day with all of our dear friends. Looking back, I can’t believe it has gone so quickly!
“I guess that’s how it goes with 3 kids, Big LOVE, lots of laughing, non-stop travel, so many dogs and fun adventures … figuring out this crazy world together. Here’s to many more days in the sun! I [love] you, JT.”
