Kyle Richards offered an update on her relationship with her sister, Kathy Hilton, during an event earlier this week.
Ahead of production on the upcoming 13th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle admitted she and Kathy still aren’t speaking after suffering a falling out amid season 12 and offered some parenting advice to niece Paris Hilton, who welcomed her first child with husband Carter Reum last month.
“I haven’t seen [Kathy] in a while, I have not seen her in a while,” Kyle, 54, told Page Six at the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Concert on Wednesday. “Things are not great since the reunion to be honest.”
After Kyle’s longtime friend and now-ex-co-star, Lisa Rinna, accused Kathy of suffering a “psychotic break” in Aspen, during which she allegedly threatened to “destroy” Kyle and her family, Kathy fired back, claiming she was “set up” by Lisa and Erika Jayne and stating that she would not return to the show if they were brought back. However, Kathy later changed her tune about that.
Kathy also targeted Kyle on social media after the reunion taping in October, asking an RHOBH viewer who expressed compassion for Kyle, “Why is she upset and crying? I’m the one who [was] bullied and [persecuted] for 10 months!”
But after also including a statement that said, “Just cruel and disgusting,” Kathy’s rep insisted she wasn’t labeling Kyle “cruel and disgusting,” but rather explaining how she felt she was treated on the show.
Continuing on to Page Six, Kyle said her and Kathy’s estrangement is “very” upsetting and said she hoped their dynamic wouldn’t create an awkward situation amid filming on RHOBH season 13.

“Welcome to my life,” she said. “My life is awkward all the time!”
Also at the event, Kyle spoke to E! News, offering advice to Paris, who she said she’s sure will be “a great mom.”
“You get out of your kids what you put into them,” Kyle said. “A lot more people are working moms, so it’s totally different, but you really get out of your kids what you put into them. That’s the best way I can put it.”
“She’s always been amazing with her animals,” Kyle added. “She’s a good dog and animal mom, so I think she’ll be a great baby mom.”
Although Kyle has not met Paris’ baby boy, she suggested she has plenty to lean on as she adjusts to her new life as a mom, especially in sister Nicky Hilton-Rothschild, who shares three children with husband James Rothschild.
“Nicky’s an unbelievable mom,” Kyle shared. “She’s such a great hands-on, relaxed mom. I’m always impressed by that because I was so nervous with my kids when they’re a little like, ‘Oh, what if they touch this? Are they going to get sick?’ And she’s very relaxed and chill.”
“Hopefully, Paris will learn from her mom and her aunt, and what she’s seen with her sister and her aunts growing up,” she added.
