Season 3 of The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip kicked off last week as a new slew of Housewives, including the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Porsha Williams, took to the air jetting off to Thailand. As the season begins to unfold, Porsha is revealing that she didn’t enter into the trip with the intention to “read” the other girls, but that quickly changed.
“My energy wasn’t to come on and read or get read,” Porsha recently told Entertainment Tonight. “Really, if you was going to read me, you was going to be talking to the wall. That just wasn’t my energy. I traveled two days to be there, and I definitely wasn’t coming there to do that.”
But doing that she is, as Porsha claims that costar and Real Housewives of New York City alum, Leah McSweeny, was a “disappointment” and total “snooze fest,” dubbing her “judgmental.”
“I’m not trying to give anything away, but Leah was a disappointment for me,” Porsha confessed to the outlet. “She and I were the only ones who kind of traveled together when we traveled there. … She and I were cool. I was like, this girl is from New York, you know? People talking about her like she’s boring. She’s this, she’s that… but when I met her, I was like, she’s just laid back, you know? I was like, OK, I’m ready to get to know her and make her have fun. But once we got there, she was a freaking snooze fest! Judgmental, like, I mean– just uninterested in getting to know anybody.”
Porsha also took time to address her feud with the Real Housewives of Potomac star, Candiace Dillard Bassett, as the two have history after Porsha publicly voiced her support for RHOP alum, Monique Samuels, after she and Candiace had their infamous on-screen altercation during season 5 of RHOP.
“You know, we hit things head-on,” Porsha explained. “I for one wanted to go ahead and deal with the elephant in the room and we did just that.”
Candiace bluntly brought up Porsha’s marriage to Simon Guobadia, and it’s coincidental timing after the pair quickly became an item so soon after the dissolution of his marriage to Porsha’s former RHOA costar, Falyn Pina. The line of question didn’t “surprise” Porsha at all.

“Someone’s got to do it,” Porsha stated. “Somebody’s got to do it, and if I go down the cast of Marysol [Patton], Alexia [Echevarria] and Whitney [Rose], and the Salt Lake girls, they are not going to do it. They are not going to do it. If anybody would do it, it would have been little Candee.”
Posha went on to explain that her beef with Candiace wasn’t helped by her friendship with Candiace’s RHOP nemesis and RHUGT costar, Gizelle Bryant.
“Gizelle and I was kind of on a team!” Porsha quipped. “We was making them work for it, honey. I like the way you deal with an issue, and you move on. I think when it just lingers too much is when people start feeling attacked. It just gets a little dark, stuff like that.”
Though the trip had its difficulties, Porsha said that this season of RHUGT was a breath of fresh air as it allowed her to “just be myself.”
“I enjoyed speaking through the fourth wall, and not– and just being free with the conversation,” she explained. “A lot of the times, the best moments for Housewives, to, me was off camera. So, this, to me, was like, all the off-camera on camera. So, when I think about Housewives of Atlanta, it just makes me wish that energy could be over there. Like, back to the fun. Back to the, you know, organic relationships.”
Many fans have called for Porsha to return to RHOA, and the pleas haven’t gone unnoticed by the reality star who says she would have to do a lot of praying on the issue first but would never completely rule out the possibility.
“Never say never,” she concluded. “I would definitely go into prayer, I definitely would probably do some fasting and some praying to make sure that it would be the right thing for me, that I’m ready, and that I’m able to show up as who I am right at this moment.”
