Sharon Osbourne is grappling with heartbreak following the passing of one of her cherished pet dogs. The former judge on “The X Factor” took to Instagram to share the sad news, posting heartfelt photos of her dog, Elvis, alongside her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne.
In a poignant message, the 73-year-old television star expressed her sorrow over the loss of her canine companion. “I can’t believe I am posting this, but my darling Elvis passed away this week,” she wrote. “He gave me 14 precious years and was by my side until the end. Rest in peace, my darling boy!” Her followers quickly flooded her post with messages of sympathy and support. One commented, “Oh no. I’m so sorry for your loss. He’s with Ozzy now. They will both continue to watch over you.” Another offered their condolences, saying, “My heartfelt condolences on your sweet Elvis,” while a third remarked, “This poor woman has been through it all lately.” Yet another added, “Ozzy needed a little bit of you with him. So sorry for your loss xxx.”
This heartbreaking event comes just a few months after the death of Sharon’s husband, the iconic rockstar Ozzy Osbourne. The legendary Black Sabbath frontman passed away in July at the age of 76, merely days after delivering a final performance, a concert organized by Sharon herself.
In the hopes of enjoying a peaceful retirement, Ozzy and Sharon had moved to Buckinghamshire, seeking solace in their serene countryside home. However, following his last concert, Ozzy’s health declined swiftly, leading to his passing at their residence just weeks later.
Recently, it was revealed by her son Jack that Sharon is finding it immensely challenging to cope with her losses. She has stepped back from public life to grieve privately, with her children, including Jack, sharing insights into the profound sorrow she is enduring.
During an interview on Good Morning America, Jack was questioned about how his mother, Sharon, is managing. “You know, when people have been asking me that question, I say, ‘She’s OK, but she’s not OK’,” Jack confessed.
In a video shared weeks after Ozzy’s funeral, Sharon confessed she was still grappling with her new reality. Joined by her daughter Kelly, she expressed: “I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media.
“Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know,” she continued. “None of it has gone unnoticed; in fact, it’s carried me through many nights. Though I’m still finding my footing.”
