Amid reports of The Real Housewives of New York City: Legacy being halted due to salary demands; new sources are revealing that the cast were not a united front when it came time to sign their respective contracts.
Rumblings of trouble began earlier this week after reports broke claiming that the cast, comprised of Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Jill Zarin, were not happy with the “generous” salary offer and guaranteed number of episodes that Bravo brought to the table. Hence, contract negotiations came to a standstill with Bravo quickly “losing interest” in the series altogether.
However, sources close to the cast and production say that Jill was the lone holdout as she kept pushing for more money leading to the collapse of the series.
“[Jill] was pushing for a big payday was the straw that broke the camel’s back,” a source close to Kelly told Page Six.
The source continued to allege that Kelly and Dorinda were both set to sign the dotted line on their contracts and get production rolling, while Sonja, in typical Sonja-fashion, was completely aloof to the whole situation and was “barely paying attention.”
Meanwhile, Luann was recently spotted at a café in New York City by a hawk-eyed fan and was seen reading a print copy of Page Six’s report on the demise of Legacy.

The source claimed Luann was “chit chatting away” on her phone and appeared “on edge,” constantly “pacing back and forth” while reading the story.
It’s only natural Luann would be edgy as Bravo rescinded their contract offers earlier this week as the show “collapsed.”
The cabaret performer has since confirmed that the show has been allegedly cancelled telling PEOPLE, “For the moment, it’s not going anywhere,” she told the outlet,
Luann has hope the show will be brought back in some form or another.
“I always said, ‘Never count out the Countess,’ but in this case it’s, ‘Never count out the New York City Housewives,’” she told the publication adding “[There’s] no doubt they’ll find a way to bring the OG’s and beloved New York City Housewives back together again.”
However, insiders close to production claim there are “no plans” to bring the series to life currently, despite Andy Cohen’s claims that the show is indeed, not dead.
The Bravo producer sent out a tweet seemingly in response to the rumors surrounding Legacy this week simply stating, “Don’t believe everything you read. #RHONYLegacy”
Bravo has yet to release an official statement regarding the status of the show.
