That ’70s Show is a much-loved sitcom that ran between 1998 and 2006. Thanks to streaming on Netflix and Peacock, it keeps finding a new generation of fans. Now with That ’90s Show appearing on Netflix, we’re discovering our love for The Forman’s and friends.


It created stars of the cast which included Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace and Laura Prepon. This cast has gone on to appear in Oscar-nominated movies, superhero blockbusters and Emmy-nominated shows.

That ’70s Show famously had a roster of celebrity cameos and guest stars which ranged from Alice Cooper to Betty White and Gloria Gaynor. It was also a jumping point for many acting careers.

Upon rewatch, you will notice loads of famous faces who have gone on to have huge careers in film and TV. Here are some stars who had early roles in That ’70s Show.

10 Amy Adams On That ’70s Show In Season 2

In one of her first onscreen roles ever, multiple Oscar-nominee Amy Adams played Kat Peterson, a popular girl who secretly hooks up with Hyde, in the Season 2 episode, “Burning Down the House.” When Hyde and Kat later run into each other at a house party, she ignores him in favor of her popular friends.

Other early roles include Buffy The Vampire Slayer and The Office. She has gone on to star in hits like Enchanted, Arrival and American Hustle.

9 Rachel Bilson On That ’70s Show Season 6

Rachel Bilson appears in the Season 6 episode, “5:15,” as Christy, a mean girl Fez tries to charm at Mitch’s wedding with some help from Jackie. She only becomes interested in him when he hints that she is rich.

Bilson gained fame playing Summer on The OC alongside Mischa Barton, Adam Brody and Ben McKenzie. This appearance was around the same time as The OC aired. Bilson also had early guest appearances on 8 Simple Rules and Buffy the Vampire Slayer and subsequently appeared in shows such as Chuck, How I Met Your Mother, and Nashville.

8 Jenna Fischer On Season 7 Of That ’70s Show

Just a couple of months before The Office premiered, Jenna Fischer appeared in the Season 7 episode, “Don’t Lie To Me” as a bridal shop employee idolized by Jackie.

Her snobby character is the opposite of Pam, warning Jackie she needs to find a husband before her “expiry date”. Fischer has also had guest roles on shows including Cold Case, Miss Match,Six Feet Under, and What I Like About You. Her film roles include Blades of Glory and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.

7 The Spouse Twins On That ’70s Show Season 4

Before Dylan and Cole Sprouse became stars of the Disney Channel show, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, they had a small appearance on That ‘70s Show, in the episode, “Eric’s Depression.” They appear in this Season 4 alongside Kelso after he gets lost at the Funland amusement park.

Dylan and Cole Sprouse have gone on to have a successful post-Disney Channel career. Cole Sprouse appears in Riverdale as Jughead Jones and Dylan Sprouse has starred in several movies including After We Collided and The Curse of Turandot.

6 Yvette Nicole Brown On That ’70s Show Season 8

Yvette Nicole Brown is best known for appearing on Community as Shirley as well as Drake and Josh. She has also made several guest appearances on The Talking Dead as a Walking Dead superfan.

Early in her career, she had a guest role in That ‘70s Show, during the episode, “You’re My Best Friend” in Season 8. She plays Sgt. Davis, who puts the gang through hell as they end up in a jail cell after Hyde’s bachelor party goes wrong.

Other early roles include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Two and a Half Men and The Office.

5 Jim Rash In Season 5 Of That ’70s Show

Before he was the Dean in Community, Jim Rash had a recurring role as Fenton in That ‘70s Show. This character would appear every now and again working at a jewelry store. He appears in Season 5 and helps Eric buy Donna’s engagement ring. His character later becomes the landlord to both Fez and Kelso and reprises the role in That ’90s Show.

In 2012, Rash won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and received a Golden Globe nomination as one of the writers of The Descendants. He also had minor roles before fame as Andrew in Reno 911!Friends, and played Head T.A. Philip in Slackers.

4 Ethan Peck In That ’70s Show

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds actor Ethan Peck plays the 13-year-old version of Michael Kelso. Peck’s first appearance in the show was in the Season 3 premiere, titled “Reefer Madness,” which shows us the first time Eric, Kelso and Hyde get high.

He returned in Season 4, Episode 20, titled “Class Picture.” Peck, who is grandson of Hollywood legend Gregory Peck, has spoken about how being late to set on the sitcom taught him a huge lesson.

He later appeared in the 1999 movie Passport to Paris starring Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, co-starred with Mariah Carey in Tennessee. From 2009 to 2010, he starred in the television adaption of 10 Things I Hate About You.

3 Allison Munn In That ’70s Show

Allison Munn had a recurring role as Caroline, Fez’s borderline stalker girlfriend on That ’70s Show. After appearing on the sitcom, she had a successful stage career.

She had small roles in White Oleander and Elizabethtown opposite Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst. In 2009, Munn began a recurring role on One Tree Hill playing Lauren, Jamie Scott’s teacher.

2 Reid Scott In Season 5 Of That ’70s Show

Before he starred as Dan Egan on Veep, Reid Scott played Ted, a resident adviser at the University of Wisconsin who invites Hyde, Eric, Fez, and Kelso to a dorm party. Scott’s first TV role in Season 5, Episode 6, “Over the Hills and Far Away”

His first main role was in FOX’s With You in Spirit until 2004. He has also appeared in Bones, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and The Big C.

1 Neil Flynn On That ’70s Show Season 2

Before starring on Scrubs and The Middle, Neil Flynn appeared as the bouncer at a trendy new club that lets Donna, Hyde, and Fez in, but not Eric. His role as the fluffy-haired bouncer in Season 2, Episode 3, “The Velvet Rope” has been called “detestable” for his elitist attitude.

Although he is best known for his role on Scrubs, he has had small roles in Baby’s Day Out, CSI, My Boys, Seinfeld, and Smallville.
