Adam Thomas has admitted that he “cried” when his Strictly Come Dancing partner sent him this week’s dance routine.
The 35-year-old actor has been keeping his one million fans on Instagram up to date with dance rehearsals and shared a worrying update.
Uploading a video to his stories, he said: “I was in work today and I said Luba can you send me the dance that we will be doing this Saturday… She sent it, and I cried” before bursting out into a fit of laughter.
He then went on to say: “Bearing in mind, I’ve only got a day to learn it because I’m working all week.”
This comes after Adam got emotional on last week’s show fearing that he had let his partner Luba Mushtuk down.
The pair performed the Tango and received 23 points from the judges with head judge Shirley Ballas scoring just five points.
Critiquing his moves, she said: “Character good, footwork soft but mistakes and out-of-sync bits.”
Speaking to Claudia Winkleman after the performance, Adam said: “I’m not smiling now, I’ll be honest with you. I tried my hardest and I feel like I let [Luba] down, I’m sorry.”
Luba, however, reassured Adam by saying: “I loved dancing that with you, I’m so proud.”
Adam also shared an image to his main Instagram grid of the duo in action captioning the snap he said: “Looking back it wasn’t so bad but I know I could have done better, and I just beat myself up because of it!
“I give myself the hardest time sometimes but it’s just tough when you work so hard in training and then you fall at the last hurdle!
“I just think I put too much pressure on myself and the nerves got the better of me! But look we’re all human it happens just got to pick myself up and carry on!”
Fans were quick to offer their support with one writing: “Omg! Brilliant image @adamthomas21 you are doing fabulous! We all love you! Xxx”
Another said: “Stop & take a minute to be proud of yourself. You did amazingly well. You haven’t done dance training yet all of a sudden, you have a week to master 1. All while living with constant pain. You rocked it last night be kind & proud of yourself x”
Whilst a third added: “I feel the judges are being harsh. You are far better than the same scores and some others there. I was absolutely gob smacked. Do better judges. X”
Adam revealed last month that he had been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.
In an Instagram post to celebrate his birthday, he broke the news and also revealed that the diagnosis was part of the reason he signed up for Strictly, stating: “The reason I signed up to strictly is because I just want to be able to move again, get fit and do it, all with a smile on my face!”
