In 2002, Snoop Dogg (also known as Snoop Lion) announced that he was quitting alcohol to focus on becoming a better father. He shares four children with his wife of 21 years, Shante Taylor: Cordé Broadus, 27, Cordell Broadus, 25, Julian Broadus, 24, and Cori Broadus, 22. Through the years, the rapper has managed to keep his family life out of the limelight. But fans can’t help but be curious about their lives, especially Corde who followed his father’s footsteps in music.

What Does Snoop Dogg’s Eldest Son Corde Broadus Do?
Broadus, also known as Kalvin Love, was born in 1994, three years before Snoop and his wife tied the knot. In 2004, 10-year-old Broadus had to deal with his parent’s separation. He and his siblings split their time between their mom and their dad until they reconciled in 2008. After that, he became closer to his dad and was influenced by his many passions, including football. Broadus trained as a professional footballer until 2012. During interviews about his major lifestyle change in the 2000s, Snoop revealed that he’d been coaching his son’s football team.
“I been smoking weed and drinking every day of my life for the past 10 years, and I just wanted to get high off of life and take a new direction and see what it sounds like and what it looks like from that point of view,” he told MTV back then. “I’m also coaching my son’s football team, and being around kids five days a week. I wanted to be inspirational to the kids because they all look up to me, and I wanted to give ’em something to look up to, because it is cool to say no to drugs, and that’s what I’m doing right now. I’m 30 years old, and as you get older you get wiser, and that’s what it’s all about.”
The Gin and Juice hitmaker encouraged Broadus to be a quarterback, but it just wasn’t his thing. Instead, he also got into acting and music like his dad. He did a little modeling at the beginning but eventually focused on his career as a hip-hop artist. He’s released some albums under the name Kalvin Love and has collaborated with other artists like Big We$ and Planet Falcon but never with his dad.
Snoop Dogg’s other son, Cordell Broadus, did live out his father’s football dreams. He played for UCLA before quitting the sport in 2015 to pursue his true passions.

Is Corde Broadus Married?
Corde Broadus isn’t married. However, he’s been in a long-term relationship Soraya Love since 2016. Love is a fashion stylist based in Los Angeles. Before meeting her, Broadus’ most talked-about relationship was with makeup artist and model, Jessica Kyzer. They started dating in 2010 and got married in 2014. They had an intimate ceremony which was attended by a number of famous rappers and performers. In 2015, at age 21, he and Kyzer welcomed their first son, Zion. Though no longer together, they continue to co-parent their child.
In 2018, now with Love, Broadus announced on their YouTube channel that they were expecting their first child. In the seven-minute clip, the two said that they were planning to name their baby, Elleven despite not knowing the gender yet. Love also opened up about her fears of being a first-time parent to which Broadus had a nice advice. “It’s really not up to you. All you can do is give them the tools, but how they use the tools is up to them,” he said of parenting. “So, don’t really stress about the things you can’t control.”
Months later, the couple welcomed a healthy baby girl. In 2019, they welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Kai Love. Unfortunately, he died 10 days later, right in Broadus’ arms. “My son did all he needed to do in his 10 days here on Earth. He has now graduated and continuing to do work,” Broadus wrote of their loss two days after the tragic event. “He died in my arms and that feeling of energy will never leave me. Kai wants all of you to [know] he’s doing great and wants to continue to inspire those who light is dim.”

He also vowed to “use his energy” in raising their daughter from then on. “It makes perfect sense to me why 2 spiritual loving and healing people like me and Soraya was given an angel like Kai and now we will use his energy to raise 11 to the best person she can be for ALL of u,” he continued on the lengthy post. “Life is beautiful y’all and I want y’all to kno Soraya is at peace and is moving forward with huge smiles and A little baby running around thinking she grown. Jus want to use my spotlight for happiness and growth and not anything less than. Thank you! Now let’s get back to our soul purpose.”
Broadus and Love later welcomed another boy, whom they named Skylar. The couple are very focused on having a loving and happy family.
