Hold back those tears for The Weeknd — his fortunes are soaring.
The artist behind the smash hit “Blinding Lights” has set new benchmarks with his spectacular “After Hours Til Dawn” tour, now crowned as the highest-grossing tour by a male solo performer in history.
Factoring in the projected sales for his 2026 shows in Mexico, Brazil, Europe, and the UK, the tour has successfully sold over 7.5 million tickets, amassing more than $1 billion in revenue from 153 performances.
Kicking off in 2022, the tour has crisscrossed North America twice, visiting Europe, the UK, Latin America, and Australia along the way.
In 2023, the Guinness World Records recognized him as “The Most Popular Artist in the World.” Additionally, his track “Blinding Lights” achieved RIAA Diamond status and claimed the top spot as the No. 1 song on Billboard Hot 100 of all time, dethroning Chubby Checker’s 1960 classic “The Twist.”
The only tours surpassing the R&B crooner’s achievement are Coldplay’s $1.5 billion “Music of the Spheres” tour and Taylor Swift’s $2 billion “Eras Tour.”
The Weeknd’s also donating over $8.5 million to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen, with additional proceeds from the 2026 run set to continue supporting World Food Program Global Citizen.
Fans will also have the opportunity to earn one pair of free tickets to each tour date via Global Citizen.
Produced by Live Nation and sponsored by Nespresso, the next leg will kick off on April 20 in Mexico City, and include stops in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, London, Madrid and more.
