Vicki Gunvalson Urges Bravo to Hit the ‘Pause’ Button on Heather Dubrow’s RHOC Role

Vicki Gunvalson recently weighed in on Heather Dubrow’s fit within the Orange County landscape, suggesting that Bravo should consider giving Heather a break from the show. As one of the original stars of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki also commented on Tamra Judge’s ability to perform on the show, noting that Tamra knows how to maintain her presence on the series.

This season, Tamra has formed a surprising bond with Katie Ginella after orchestrating a shift against her within the cast. This strategic move has left some fans speculating whether Tamra is aligning with Katie to regain favor among viewers.

Vicki Gunvalson said Heather Dubrow “does not fit” in Orange County, and she suggested that Bravo “pause” her. The Real Housewives of Orange County ‘OG’ also shared that Tamra Judge can “act really well,” as she “knows what to do” to “stay on that show.”

In the new season, Tamra befriended Katie Ginella after the cast turned on her. Interestingly, Tamra seemed to play a pivotal role in turning the cast against her in the first place. Now, some fans question if Tamra is positioning herself with Katie to win back the audience’s favor.

Earlier in the season, Heather admitted during a lie detector test that she would rather be a castmate on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — a franchise known for hiring wealthier stars.

On My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, Vicki suggested that Heather should be on RHOBH instead of RHOC.

“She does not fit into Orange County,” said Vicki. “She’s very liberal. Orange County is a Republican conservative county. How do I know? I speak to the women and men in Orange County.”

Vicki was then asked what happens when castmates have vastly different political opinions.

“We typically don’t talk about it, but it’s very clear,” she explained. “And Kelly Dodd is very clear on speaking about it outwardly. I don’t [share my politics], but it’s very clear where Heather and Terry are coming from.”

Vicki also seemed to imply that part of the Dubrows’ money is “inherited.”

“I don’t resent anything that they have built and have and inherited,” she said. “She just doesn’t fit in … Your house values are 1 million to 5 million in Orange County. Hers is like 50 million. It’s hard to break bread with that. I don’t think she understands or appreciates the 1 to 5 million dollar homes.”

Vicki suggested that Bravo should perhaps “pause” Heather.

Later in the podcast, Vicki addressed Tamra’s dramatic change from last season. “She can act really well,” said Vicki. “She knows what to do. She’s a making-money girl, and I’m so proud of her … She knows what to do to stay on that show.”

New episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County air on Thursday nights on Bravo.
