Vanderpump Rules is coming up on its 10th season, believe it or not. The twenty-somethings who worked at Sur have grown up (some maybe not so much) and their lives are going in all different directions.
There have been many comings and goings over the years. Vanderpump lost many of their old faces. Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute have departed the show on not so great terms. We have seen new faces arrive throughout the years such as Raquel Leviss and more recently, Charli Burnett.
Lisa Vanderpump is their fearless leader and will of course remain on the show for the upcoming 10th season. The season will also include the “Toms” aka Sandoval and Schwartz, Katie Maloney, James Kennedy, Raquel Leviss, Scheana Shay and her new husband Brock Davies, Lala Kent, Ariana Madix, and some new faces.
But there are many shake-ups that have rocked Vanderpump Rules. It looks like we will see them play out in February 2023.
8/8 The James Kennedy And Raquel Leviss Break Up
During season nine, we watched the beautiful Coachella-themed engagement of James and Raquel. The couple had been together for five years and were thrilled to share the news that they were finally tying the knot.
In December 2021, after the season aired, the couple announced their split.
“After these 5 wonderful years we had together, we decided we have two different goals and made the decision to call off the engagement,” they each announced on Instagram. “We love each other very much, but we aren’t in love anymore. We want nothing but the best for each other so please keep any thoughts positive. Sending Love.”
It was a surprise but not shocking, as Raquel often had issues with James’ behavior. “It was kind of at Thanksgiving where I realized that I didn’t want to be in this relationship anymore,” Raquel told Scheana Shay on her podcast, Scheananigans with Scheana Shay. She added, “Foreseeing this future and what it was all coming down to and I was like…I don’t want that.”
7/8 Tom Schwartz And Katie Maloney Divorce
Tom and Katie began dating two years before Vanderpump Rules was ever a reality series. Their dating life was tumultuous at times, but they finally married in 2016, and again in 2019 because of an issue with paperwork. The couple bought a house and were talking about having children.
Katie filed for divorce in March 2022 and released a statement, “After 12 years on an adventure through life together, Tom and I are ending our marriage. This ending is not met with resentment or animosity, no sides to choose,” her Instagram statement read. “We have deep admiration for one another that will always remain, and we cherish our friendship. Although we may be on different paths we will continue to love and support one another’s happiness.”
Tom’s statement read, in part, “We had some of the most blissful, romantic, fun times humanly possible over the course of our relationship. I’m talking heaven-on-earth-level joy. She taught me so much about love and being a better partner.”
6/8 What Happened At Scheana Shay’s Wedding?
Raquel and Tom allegedly made out at Scheana and Brock’s wedding.
Raquel, a bridesmaid, and Tom, a groomsman, were said to have been drinking heavily when the hook-up happened. An insider also told Page Six that “more happened” between the two.
Scheana said to Page Six, “I personally did not see anyone else make out. I heard.” She also said that she only saw them talking.
There were rumors of a hook-up once before when someone claimed to have spotted the two at Coachella, but that was debunked when Schwartz said he “wasn’t at Coachella at all.”

5/8 What Was Said At BravoCon About The Incident?
Tom Schwartz calls it an “awkward moment”.
During the Vanderpump Rules panel at BravoCon, Andy asked Raquel if she was nervous about her ex, James Kennedy, and Lala Kent “possibly reigniting things”. Rawuels response was, “I don’t know, for some reason I kind of ship the idea of James and Lala.”
Kennedy responded quickly, “Now she says that, after she’s, like, made out with Peter [Madrigal] and Schwartz. Like, cool.”
Tom Schwartz just laughed nervously and tried to hide his face. He later told Page Six, “I just rode it out, and you’ll see how it plays out this season. There’s a build up to it, and there’s a lot of fall out afterwards. I’m still processing it.”
4/8 What Does Katie Maloney Think About Tom and Raquel?
Katie Maloney spoke about Schwartz and Leviss on a recent episode of her podcast, You’re Gonna Love Me, with her friend and co-star Lala Kent.
Katie was not happy about what went down at BravoCon, “That s**** really annoying when they are like ‘I don’t know, maybe we might kiss because we flirt all the time because that’s the kind of friendship we have.’ I’m like shut up, first of all, you don’t, second of all, enough, no one like cares. Actually people care, I know they care,”
Kent spoke about coming to Katie’s defense during the panel, “I’m not going to let Schwartzy and Raquel sit up on stage and be like, ‘he, he, eh, eh, eh,’ and then have my best friend sitting there all classy and s***.”
3/8 What Is James Kennedy Up To?
James Kennedy seems to have moved on from Raquel Leviss. In March, three months after the couple called off their engagement, James posted pictures and videos of his vacation to Tulum, Mexico with new girlfriend, Ally Lewber. He reportedly met Ally only one month after his breakup with Raquel.
A month later, the new couple posted pics on another vacation in Jamaica.
Only time will tell if this will last.
2/8 Raquel Leviss’ Thoughts On Tom Schwartz
Raquel spoke to Page Six about Tom Schwartz, “I think he’s cute. I feel like we have a little flirty, friendly connection that’s lighthearted and fun.” She continued, “He’s a very sweet guy, obviously, and easy to talk to,” she added. “It’s just very nice to have a friend in my corner.”
1/8 Will Tom Schwartz And Raquel Leviss Get Together?
Schwartz is trying to make it clear that he and Leviss are “just friends”. Tom told Us, “I don’t want it to be anti-climatic, but me and Raquel have forged a really solid, deep friendship now. It’s so burgeoning,” while at BravoCon.
He went on to say, We’re tight now. [In the past], I would just say, ‘Hi Raquel’ [and] she’d say, ‘Hi Tom.’ And then we would walk by each other for like two seasons. And then now it’s like we have an awesome relationship — not relationship-relationship. Platonic.”
Right now, he is leaning on his friendship with Tom Sandoval and working on their restaurant, Schwartz & Sandy’s.
