90 Day Fiancé on TLC has its fair share of tumultuous relationships, but Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi take the cake.
The couple met on Facebook when Michael sent her a message. Their 22-year age difference didn’t stop Angela from Hazelhurst, Georgia from falling for Michael from Nigeria. It was a rocky relationship from the beginning, but the two tied the knot in January 2020.
It hasn’t exactly been happily ever after for the couple. Michael was denied his K-1 Visa the first time he applied. That meant the lovebirds would be separated when Angela went home to Georgia. Since their wedding, they have had a long distance relationship, which hasn’t been easy at all.
Angela underwent breast reduction, liposuction, and gastric sleeve procedures in August 2020. She then lost over 100 pounds. This caused some issues between her and Michael because she felt he was not supportive of her during that time. After that, the relationship seemed to deteriorate.
Angela Deem’s temper seems to be one of their biggest problems. She loses it often, and many fans think she has now taken things too far. Some even consider her abusive.
8/8 Angela Deem Threw A Fit The Night Before Her Wedding
Maybe Michael Ilesanmi should have seen the writing on the wall.
The night before the wedding, the couple went out to celebrate with friends. When Angela’s friend JoJo noticed Michael watching a woman dance, she immediately told him not to look. But it was too late. Angela spotted who her fiancé was looking at and went into a rage. She yelled and screamed and walked out of the club.
Angela already had trust issues with Michael, and this only made it worse, But the couple did make it down the aisle the following day.
7/8 Angela Deem Walks Off The Set During 2018 Tell-All
Michael Ilesanmi made the huge mistake of calling his fiancé Angela Deem his “elder” during the 2018 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Tell-All.
“I’m not your elder, I’m not your damn elder,” Angela yelled during the Tell-All. “Michael, you’ve just pissed me off. Did you really say that, Michael?”
When he didn’t respond, she said, “You think it’s f—— funny, Michael?”
“How about this?” she said as she took off her engagement ring. “I’m done already. F— you ’cause I’m your elder and you respect what I said. We’re done.”
Deem told the production crew that she was embarrassed and refused to go back on the set, “Listen, I’m grown. You don’t tell me what to do. I’m 52,” she said as she walked out of the production area. “You ain’t going to humiliate me, you son of a bitch.”
She did not return but she and Michael eventually made up.
6/8 Angela Deem Flashed The Cameras During 2021 Tell-All
Tell-Alls and Angela Deem do not go very well. During the 2021 Tell-All, Angela once again got angry. But this time it was with Michael’s Aunt Lydia.
When Michael Ilesanmi questioned his fiancé about going to a party and not telling him, she responded by telling him to shut up. Aunt Lydia stepped in and told Angela to respect her husband. Angela then told Michael’s aunt to mind her own business.
Then, she lost it. “You will not tell my f**king husband what to do,” she screamed. She then pulled open her shirt, flashed the cameras, and continued her rant, “Suck on these brand new f**king t*ts!” Angela’s daughter Skyla tried to calm her mother down to no avail. Many of her co-stars on stage were shielding their eyes.
Again, Michael and Angela stayed together.

5/8 Signs Of Trouble On Season 7 Of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After
The current season of 90 Day Fiancé once again features Michael Ilesanmi and Angela Deem. From the start of the season, you could see that the couple was struggling living so far apart.
Angela was insistent that Michael take down his Instagram account. She accused her husband of using social media to flirt with other women. Michael held his ground and refused to do it.
But we soon learned that Angela was using her own social media to flirt with a man named Billy. The two create TikTok dances together, she refers to him as “sexy baby”, and he calls her “angel”. The two have never met in person, but she said about him, “Boy, does he still have the moves and the looks.”
Angela tried to justify her relationship with Billy, “With Michael being so distant to me and making me feel like he’s using me as an opportunity to come to the U.S., I’ve had to find support in new people,” she said. “Billy makes time for me and he listens to me.”
Angela seems to have a different set of rules for her husband than she does for herself.
4/8 Angela Deem Loses It On Michael Ilesanmi’s Car
Angela Deem decided to fly to Nigeria to “surprise” her husband with her friend Rene. When Michael Ilesanmi wouldn’t come out of the house, Angela threw a fit that topped all prior fits.
After Rene pleads with Michael to talk to his wife, Angela yells, “Rene, that’s alright. We’ll just tow the f—ing car.” She then proceeds to rip pieces off of the car. “I paid for this car, bitch,” Angela said. “Tell him I’ll break the windows next. You’ve got the wrong motherf—er.”
When Michael realized what she was doing, he came out of the house and the two argued. At one point, Angela pushed Michael against the wall.
As the season went on, Angela continued to berate and bully Michael. She calls him names, screams at him, and refuses to have a civil conversation. Michael always tries to remain calm.
3/8 90 Day Fiance Fans Have Had Enough Of Angela Deem
90 Day Fiancé is known for some over-the-top behavior. But Angela Deem may have gone too far this time. Fans are just tired of her abusive behavior. Some took to Twitter to express their frustration.
One user said, “Has anyone started a petition to get this miserable POS off of our TV’s yet?? If so, please post, post, & repost. This HAS to be Angela‘s last appearance on any TV show. She is the definition of deplorable & abusive. NOT entertainment.”
Another pointed out a double standard, “Can we please be done with Angela? If she was a man, she’d be arrested by now.”
It was also pointed out that her abusive behavior has been tolerated by TLC for years.
2/8 What Is The Status Of Angela Deem And Michael Ilesanmi’s Relationship Now?
Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi have been avoiding questions on the status of their relationship. Until now. The couple have confirmed they are together via her Instagram with a video of the two of them that reads, “I am his queen. He is my king”.
There were some reports that Michael was seen in an Atlanta airport, leading viewers to believe that they are in Georgia together. But those rumors proved to be false because the couple was actually spotted in Nigeria together. They were photographed there while grocery shopping.
Michael’s visa status is still unknown.
1/8 Will TLC Ever Fire Angela Deem?
Fans are taking a strong stance against Angela Deem. Many have made it clear that they no longer want to watch her disturbing behavior on the reality show. There have been other 90 Day Fiancé stars who were fired from the franchise, so why not Angela?
It is unlikely that TLC will let one of their biggest stars go. There are plenty of viewers who tune into 90 Day Fiancé just to see Angela’s bad behavior. They find her entertaining. As long as she is a ratings draw, it is unlikely TLC will fire her. This couple may be on TV for a while longer.
