Collins also discusses why he hasn’t expressed his regret to the former victims of his assault. The New York City Police Department started looking into Stephen Collins in October 2014 after an audio recording released to the public showed a male voice—supposed to be Collins’ voice—admitting to previously sexually abusing a youngster under 14.

The LAPD added that their probe had prevented it from “substantiating the claim” against Collins. Collins acknowledged having “inappropriate sexual behavior” with three female adolescents in 1973, 1982, and 1994 in a People interview from December 2014.
