Johan Hamel is the referee for the Champions League and Ligue 1, who has done and developed his career at his best. He had taken charge for several matches and had done his best. His last charge was about the match Lille drew with Rennes on November 6. Another charge of the referee for the match was between VAR for PSG vs. Auxerre.
How did Johan Hamel die?
It is unfortunate to hear that the famous French referee lost his life at 42. God has cruelly taken away his life at the time of his developing career at his best. He had lost his life because of his stroke during training. He passed away on a Wednesday morning, November 16, 2022. The French Referring Association confirmed the news.

Johan Hamel is a well-known French referee who has seen nearly 136+ Ligue 1 matches. But it is very saddening to hear that such a passionate soul lost his life at 42 during his training.
