It is very saddening to read the death news of the great leader who had brought a lot of championships and medals to the country, Sean McCague, is no more. Who is Sean McCague?
Sean McCague is Monaghan’s former GAA president and senior football manager. He had also served the position of chairman of the GAA’s Games Administration Committee. Also, he had worked previously in Ballyvourney’s preparatory school. Along with all these things, he was also the principal of St. Mary’s Boys’ National School in Monaghan Town. Sean McCague belongs to a large family containing a group of ten members.

Unfortunately, such a multi-talented person, who had to hold several positions and do his best, passed away. He had his wife and his daughter. The cause of the death of Sean McCague is not explained or revealed in any sources. It has been said that he had died peacefully in front of his family members.
The statement given to the public to confirm his death is as, “peacefully in the tender care of the personnel of the Logan Unit, St Mary’s Hospital, Castleblayney.” He had lost his breath in the hospital; he might have been affected by other diseases or sudden attacks that might have taken his life.
