Trust No One Review: It’s safe to assume that many of our readers are familiar with cryptocurrency and that some of you may even have put some of your own money in it because the plot of Trust No One revolves around all of these issues. The Hunt For The Crypto King is a true-crime thriller Documentary based on a true story about the hunt for the crypto king.
The plot revolves around Gerry Cotten, a Canadian man who had developed a website and even an app for exchanging cryptocurrency. Many individuals put their money on Gerry Cotten’s website when it became trendy to use cryptocurrency. The owner of this website, Gerry Cotten, was a frequent traveler, and he died in Jaipur, India, in 2018. His family and website visitors were shocked. Now, all of Gerry’s investors’ money has been spent, and no one but Gerry knows the password to their website.
Regardless of whether Gerry Cotten was truly deceased or just spreading rumors about his death if you want to understand what Gerry Cotten was really up to, you should watch the new documentary Trust No One on Netflix. If you think this 90-minute documentary doesn’t have enough drama and twists that are nearly insane, you’d be wrong. There’s a scam before the scam in “The Hunt for the Crypto King,” and then there’s intensive internet scrutiny, mudslinging, and vicious character assassination, and then there’s the resolution (sort of).
If you’re going to have an intriguing character like Cotten, you might as well dig deep into his murky past, rather than just mentioning it here and there. One of the film’s flaws is that his family doesn’t offer any explanations for their actions. There isn’t much of a depiction of the Cottens outside of a few close pals who rave about his bashful smile and his previously contagious laughter.
The Crypto King is a Fraud
I would describe Trust No One as an epic documentary film in a few words. As a film, it’s visually stunning; if you’re interested in cryptography, you’ll find this one interesting. As a matter of fact, the movie’s research segment is quite spectacular, as various and varied theories are heard again and again. You’ll witness in the movie how people lost money and how they were duped by bitcoin, as well as how it moved from the bottom to the top and back again. The plot also explores how individuals lost money and how they were duped by bitcoin.
The interview with Gerry Cotten’s family members, original papers, media edits, and original news have all been shown, regardless of who invested money in Gerry Cotten’s website. Directors like Luke Sewell must have felt the pressure when films like ‘Making a Murderer’, ‘Wild Wild Country,’ and more recently, ‘The Tinder Swindler,’ fed the public’s insatiable desire for renowned sweethearts and dexterous morbidity.’ Take-note style of plot advancement is an obvious giveaway that he is aiming to match or even surpass previous achievements. When a man joins into the crypto wave, he swiftly creates an exchange company called QuadrigaCX, earns millions of dollars, and then begins withholding payments.
He then dies in a manner that leaves his wife fearful for her life, and it is eventually revealed that she was an unwitting participant. For all their importance (the subplots, not your financial or emotional distress), they are hurried in a way that belies their haste. On Jennifer Robertson’s sister’s show, the man was praised and condemned in short succession. Focus on a Unicorn-masked man for a few more minutes as he meticulously sifts through information. Is he drinking Bloody Marys in the Bahamas, or is there some other explanation for his sudden demise? Fortunately for the conman, he met his maker: he died of natural causes.
The Trust No One Movie
This movie will not bore you because everything was set up so beautifully in the first four or five minutes, such as the inquiry environment and the suspenseful atmosphere. You’ll be fascinated the entire time you watch it and want to keep watching to learn more about the narrative. In addition to the English and Hindi versions, this film is also subtitled. If you’re like me and from India, you won’t have any trouble following the plot of this film. In a succinct manner, the technical aspects of Cryptocurrency have been explained.

THE HUNT FOR THE CRYPTO KING REVIEWS: A WISHY-WASHY TAKE ON A CONMAN
STORY: Currently, Garry Cotten, a young Canadian Crypto entrepreneur, is the town’s newest rich digital nomad. However, in Jaipur, he’s not parading through Maharaja castles or feasting on Marwadi specialties like he would in other parts of Rajasthan. What’s the matter with you, then? He was 30 when he died, and he took the e-wallet credentials with him to the grave, along with over $150 million in user funds. Because of their greed, this one savagely gnaws at the ground.
Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King’s release timing in light of the government levying a flat 30% tax on crypto-asset gains on April 1 is almost laughable. However, Netflix is the original source, and they have a trove of con artists’ work that would last the entire year. It’s not a surprise. Even in the nerdy scam world, Garry Cotten is the charming coyote who smiles all the time and says adorable and awkwardly funny jokes. He also prefers to brief his staff from the Eiffel Tower. Fine. By the way, Mr. Michael Patryn was convicted in the United States for identity theft. This isn’t right at all.
Conclusion
‘The Hunt for the Crypto King,’ on the other hand, is not quite out of the woods. Let’s not forget that Ruja Ignatova’s horrible deeds are still reverberating around the world. There is no denying that the Ponzi scam that was Cotten’s run in the digital currency realm was a lesson that needed to be learned. In this context, the emphasis should be on gaining knowledge.
Cotten, the man of the hour, the Crypto King, died in the land of kings, Jaipur. This is a cruel irony. We’d want to return to the documentary’s original title, Trust, to summarise this story of a young man who, one day, could have met Jeff Bezos or Mark Zuckerberg (there’s a joke about that). Exactly one. You can watch this film with your family because it has no content that might offend anyone, and it’s a worthwhile experience for anyone interested in cryptography or documentaries.
Because of this, the documentary was a travesty because it had so much potential and could have been turned into a docu-series with one episode dedicated to every aspect of his complicated tale of lying in the open. Even in realistic scenarios, there are countless possibilities for what might have been.
