Who is Dave Whitlock?

Born in 1935, Dave Whitlock is an author, artist, and fly fishing legend, a native of Oklahoma. 

But before all of this, he was a research chemist for more than 40 years. 

Then began his career in fly fishing combining his artistic and writing skills and publishing many books. Some of his published works are the L.L bean bass fly fishing handbook, the L.L bass fly fishing handbook, and Trout-A compact guide for fly fishes are some of his works. 

He has also appeared as a guest in various fly-fishing shows. Throughout his career, he has achieved various awards and honors for his contribution in the field. Some of the most notable ones are the Buz Buzeck fly tyer award, the national freshwater hall of fame, the lifetime contribution award, the trout hall of fame, the federation of fly fishers conservation man of the year, and many more.
